Perhaps, but I feel Collins gives you a bit more positional flexibility. I don’t want to have too much money tied up in a center that can only play one position again.Ayton is better than Collins but we can get both.
But getting both without losing Don would be perfect. I don’t want to tank. I want to have fun watching Jazz basketball, even if they’re not playing for a championship but for a 6th seed. Knowing we have a lot of picks in the future is ok, but doesn’t make watching a gutted team fun. And yes, maybe Don demands a trade next year, but Ainge can deal with that then. Perhaps this is not the wisest road for the future, but I’m a Jazz fan, not an investor.
