Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I defend a current Jazz all star and it brings out hatred for him?

Perfect rationale

You attack posters for posting things that you perceive as negative even at times when either they aren't at all or they are just plain truths and you challenge people to support their statements.

Then people respond by supporting their statement, which you then respond to aghast at all the Donovan hatred and challenge them to support their statement again, which they do. To which you throw another fit about and challenge them to say even more negative things about Donovan and to prove it, and they do.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

You are making this forum considerably worse. That is truth.

I don't attack anybody. I literally just dig my heels in with the exact same stance I have had for years. And it drives yall ******* crazy.

I have been saying the same things over and over and over.

Cool man. I'm gonna go ahead and throw you on ignore. You didn't make a genuine effort to hear what I was telling you. I have nothing more to say to you and nothing to learn from you.

To be fair Lopo, you yourself have literally admitted that you dog on Gobert here because of other people here praising him so much.
That's a lie. Boldface lie.

I had a problem with people treating Rudy like he was infallible. I praised him for good things and called him for his issues. I do the same for Don.

Yall created a narrative that Rudy was all good and Don was the problem. I argue against that and it infuriates people because they were that invested in loving Rudy and hating Don.

That's the truth.

I really can't tell the difference between what I said (that you are calling a lie) and what you said in this post (that you are calling the truth).

My claim: You dog on Rudy because people here praise him so much.

Your rebuttal: Liar. I have a problem with people treating Rudy like he's infallible. That's the truth.

Like wha?

I heard you fine. We disagree. And nobody proved me wrong. They have rumors/feelings/speculation they want to believe as truths. I disagree with them.

I believe we can win with Don. Others don't agree. Doesn't make them right or me right. We don't know.

Stop trying to ride some high horse. These are opinions. Not facts.

Are you serious? You don't see the difference?

Whatever...

But you said that I came out and admitted that I bag on Rudy because he gets praised. Thats a lie. I never did that.

When we end the season and people start painting a picture that all we did good was due to Rudy and it all fell apart due to Don, I'm going to defend reality which is that both players were both good and bad.

Let's see what the coming weeks bring. For me few things to take into consideration :

- Rudy was a great player but not near a superstar able to bring you a title. A guy who can't shoot cannot be your second star.
- Don is a great player but not near a superstar as well. A guy who don't defend and show not much leadership cannot bring you a title.

The only way he had work was to add 2 great players around them. We failed, Bogda and Mike are good but not good enough. And i won't speak about Royce who will never be a starter in a good team.

Now what we do :
- Blow it all and pray for good picks? Risky strategy. NO get Zion and are far from beeing good . Knicks get Barrett high and they sucks...Memphis ( the other team i follow) have been blessed getting Ja but this might be not enough to win a title. They have now a win- 2-3 years windows and after that, Ja will request to move to bigger market.
Not a simple way to go. Ainge seems to take to way of re-building. This may work but for ne only on one condition. We have to be good again as fast as possible ( 2-3 years). If we failed, we're done. UTah is small market and chance to get great players on FA are very narrow...

By the way, the top is Stephen Curry and the Bottom is Donovan Mitchell their first five years in the league. The numbers show no real comparable behavior.
Also, Mitchell does compare better to Monta Ellis. More like Monta Ellis with a three point jump shot. The comparisons between the two would match up pretty well I think if either Mitchell couldn't shoot a 3 or Ellis could.

That's why i think Ainge is in a perfect position. He got an offer he cannot refuse ( 6 picks minimum) then he can go for a complete rebuild or the offer just not enough and we can still have a competitive team this year. Who knows, we may be a good surprise and in this case, Don value will remain high.

I know it’s been mentioned numerous times before here somewhere, but can someone remind me when the players we acquired from MIN can be aggregated with other players in trades?

More importantly, what's everyone having for breakfast on Thursday?

You said most asinine thing I ever seen and you said Donovan is comp to Steph Curry. Please stop and thank you.

On Jake Fischer's podcast he said he thinks a lot of front office people around the league are on vacation right now, he expects things to start to pick up around the middle of August.

Of course they do. Go to basketball reference and compare year to year Steph to Don years 1 through 5. Across the board, they are damn close. Steph is no doubt the better shooter. Of course.

Just do the research. Don and Steph at age 25 were both known for great offense and suspect defense.

Starting year 6, Steph really starts work on his HOF top 15 all time status. Helps that he got to play with 2 emerging HOF (Klay and Dray), Finals mvp Iggy and the rest of a sublime GS cast and crew.

I'm not saying Don will have a Steph career. However, their first 5 years are extremely similar. Pros and cons to both sides. Limiting Don's potential because the many issues of the 2021-22 season is unfair. Put him in such a good spot as Curry's, and who knows how good he could be. Nobody knows. All just talking heads with opinions.

Don't discount how great Don has been. Like Rudy - imperfect, but really damn good.
