Simone Fontecchio Two-year deal

According to you, the Jazz had 0 small forwards at the time of his signing. Is that not reason enough to sign him?
Did I say that somewhere without the qualifying assumption that Bogey is likely gone? (Maybe I did; but of course he's still around.)

But, as to your point: I'm not at all objecting to signing him. Hope he does well. Just saying that out of the two major paths the Jazz can still take, his age makes him a better fit with a Donovan retooling than a total rebuild. He could work with a rebuild, but then he likely becomes a piece to move along the way for other assets, if things go well, instead of someone who's likely here for the long haul.

But you never know; not everyone needs to be a similar age.

Jazz are keeping their options open. I believe the reports that they aren't desperate to trade Donovan and will only do so for a very good package.
I think I agree. At some point, people here may even start trying to imagine what a team with Donovan here this coming season might look like (what other moves are made? who stays? who goes?)

LOL. I honestly forget that we haven’t traded away almost the entire team. Whoops.

But right. Running with the tanking scenario, Fontecchio would then be the only SF on the team, according to your appraisal of Bolmaro. Seems like reason enough to me, saying nothing about that 26 isn’t actually all that old or that he could just as easily be flipped as any other player.

Looks really good in those highlights. Big shooters who can shoot off movement will find a place in an NBA rotation. Not sure there is some big plan just the guys adding talent where they can.

Still like 25-33% of me that think we won't trade Don and end up trying to put something together for a one-year patch. In between september 6th and training camp will be watching the twitters really closely.

Maybe Sept 6 will unleash the log jam. It sounds like part of the front office wants to run it back and win as many games as possible this season.

I'm hoping that's just posturing. If not, those front office members that want to keep him and try to be competitive next year are idiots.
Swim with the current and you get further.

Indeed. It may be the wrong direction, but you definitely get further....in the wrong direction.
sometimes you have to go the wrong direction fast to get to the right place.

Yeah but sometimes you have to leave the right place and go in the wrong direction slowly to get back to the right place

Ok I think I am confusing myself.
