What's new

Woj: Don to the Cavs for Markkanen, Agbaji, Sexton, three unprotected 1sts, two swaps, and a partridge in a pear tree.

For me the 2 knicks unprotected picks far outweighs the three from cleveland. Add in the 3 protected picks if the knicks were actually offering that then you have a better offer in my opinion. I think the cavs picks are almost guaranteed to be in the 22 to 30 range.
Dude, anything and everything can happen even by 2027.

But yeah, I think the Cavs are built on better ground than the Knicks sandy asses are.

I mean Dolan must be furious... hires a CAA front office... gets Walt Perrin.... gets Johnny Bryant... open recruits the guy... Donovan spends most of the offseason in NY in a very public way... Rose decides he'd rather keep a future pick than go get Donovan.

- mostly I'm glad a deal got done and this speculation phase is over.
- This was a fair deal, but I don't love it.
- I think Cleveland is set up to be really good, if Mobley is healthy I think they win 50 games a season going forward.
- I do like the Sexton extension. That could be a great contract going forward.

I hope Cleveland and NY meet in the playoffs and DM goes off for 30 plus points a game and maybe a 50 pt one game high. The look on SPike Lee and Steve A Smith will be hilarious. I hope DM beats the Knicks every time they play. hahahahha

****, seeing all of that in one place, the Knicks are just thumbing their nose at the tampering rules. ****ing ridiculous.

Ainge should put some icing on this bitch by filing tampering against the Knicks.

This. I am also concerned that we have become just good enough to put us firmly in the late lottery. We might need a miracle or 2 to replace the talent we just shipped out.

Its hilarious all the mental gymnastic Knicks fans and media are doing right now... I've seen multiple mentions of him being a FA in 2025!!!! Ha just keep hoping I guess... when you could have just offered just a little more.

Supposedly never offered Grimes or 3 unprotected picks in any offer. Guess ya don't want him.

Well now that we aren't getting any premium draft assets right away, it could be painful for longer than we were hoping. But the end of the decade could be crazy rich.

They are set up to be really good ... in the immediate. We have no vested interest in them being bad early(they can be as good as they want in 23 and 24, hell even in 25). In 25 Mitchell can opt out. 26, 27, 28, 29 are all unprotected picks we have from them. If they are bad in any of those years, we get a good asset back. If they crumble after Donovan leaves... even better. We might get multiple big bites at the apple.

Does anyone feel bad for the Knicks fans... they still have to watch Julius Randle and pretend he is an all-star while winning enough to get the #11 spot in the EC.
