What's new

Woj: Don to the Cavs for Markkanen, Agbaji, Sexton, three unprotected 1sts, two swaps, and a partridge in a pear tree.

PG: Brunson vs. Conley
PG: Quickley vs. Sexton
SG: Fournier vs. Beasley
SG: Grimes vs. Clarkson
SF: Barrett vs. Bogey
SF: Reddish vs. Fontecchio
PF: Randle vs. Markkanen
PF: Toppin vs. Vando
C: Robinson vs. Udoka
C: Hartenstein vs. Kessler

With the vets, we’re pretty close (I think). . . but once we trade some of them away they’ll be better - not sure how much though. They crush us at center. That’s a huge weak spot for the Jazz right now. Everything else is closer.
I think that knicks roster wins more games if you dont factor in coaching. Plus the east is still a bit worse than the west imo. We are close though.

Donovan to Ainge: Knicks/Heat/Nets are my preferred destinations

Ainge to Knicks: Give us RJ and 3 unprotected 1sts

Knicks to Ainge: How about making the third pick top-5 protected

Ainge to Knicks: No

*Knicks proceed to sign RJ to an extension*

*Knicks report to media they gave Ainge a deadline for a deal*

Altman to Ainge: We will give you Sexton + Agbaji + 3 unprotected 1sts

Ainge to Donovan: Pack your bags you’re going to Cleveland

LMAO!!!
... and thank Leon Rose and CAA for the next 3 years of your life.

Not sure Corbin was still around.
He was. He was there pissing me off playing tinsley and richard jefferson and howard ahead of my boy Burks. Who else could have even been the coach. It wasn't sloan, it wasn't quin so corbin is literally the only possibility.

This will help negotiations on the next set of trades, no one will ef with DA
Gonna hurt NY too. They really messed around and were super arrogant... and it pissed us off apparently. The temper tantrum they threw on Monday sealed the deal for Cleveland.

What is hilarious is they have built like a slightly better(?) version of the Jazz... small dynamic guards, good rim protecting bigs, nothing really great on the wing...

That’s prob gonna do pretty good in the east. They won’t be playing great teams in the first round either. Although Don could still get destroyed by Brunson in round 1.

Not better imo. Gobert is better than anyone on their team currently imo. We had 3 all stars, multiple time defensive player of the year, 6 man of the year and 6th man of the year runner up and the best record in the nba. I doubt they have all that. (I could be wrong though as I dont know a ton about them.)

You made me laugh, but Corbin was fired a couple months before the draft in 2014.

Mobley is unreal if he develops and stays healthy. Garland is better than Mountain Mike. They also have Allen. I think its at least just as good. Need Ingles/Bogey type role players. The vibes should be good though.

Now let's wait next step. 2 options : we trade as much as we can and get as much pick as we can, then we are really bad next 2 years and hope to get lucky at the draft. Or we remain average this year, but play with our pick smartly to get great players at next draft and we getting back on track in 2024/2025. The fact that we got Sexton make me think that we will not be in full tank mode. He is just too good. And if on top og that we are not able to move JC and Mike, then we are definitly not tanking hard.

That 6'1" X2 Cavs backcourt gonna struggle defensively next year. Ask me how I know.
especially after literally giving away their best 3D prospect on the team in Agbaji. wings are more important than ever nowadays and Cavs is about to play Okoro as their starting SF to begin the season. they should've just given us one extra first to keep Agbaji like how Minny gave us one extra first to keep McDaniels.

If Allen is a poor man’s Gobert. Jazz did not have a Mobley. Which could be the difference, he’s so good. Cavs seem pretty good and fun to me now. We’ll see what happens.
