K but Dok is in the same boat. I don't get it.
Numbers game. He gets healthy and shows out, or he’s gone by deadline this year or offseason next.

DA saw enough of JB to decide he wasn’t in the long term plans, so he moved on. Dok might still have value - they just don’t know yet.

I think Butler played some minutes to showcase for a trade , as they have done with Gay and will continue to until someone hopefully bites .

I’m guessing they are doing the same with Conley , I mean I just don’t understand why you sign sexton and have him coming off the bench when Conley isn’t the future ,

Ochai , I just don’t get the lack of minutes , I mean is he that good that they are putting him on ice for a season ? I can’t see what starting Clarkson , and jacking up shots does for our future , unless once again they are showcasing all these guys for future draft pick trades

I think we are all ok with tanking , but just play the youngsters.

Who knows what DA is thinking? Ideally he would like to get value for Gay, Clarkson, Conley, Beasley and Vanderbilt. Injuries happen and any or all may scratch an itch for another team.

Definitely, hopefully showcasing guys to see if they have trade value. I want more assets.

We were offered a 1st from the Suns for Vando. I don’t think we are going to get offered more than that.

Just in case there's any trouble in reading this, it's Tony Jones saying: "Nah. Jared got cut because his best NBA skill at this point is being an iso scorer and the Jazz have that on this roster Bolmaro is a better defender. Dok’s best skill is rim protection and the Jazz have very little of that on the roster. When you do stuff others can’t you stick."

Tony also said that Bolmaro made the team because of his size, defense, and the fact that he's been one of the hardest workers in training camp.

Let me put on my overthinking-it hat for a second o_O :

Jazz apparently picked up for the Stars: Frank Jackson (SG), Tyler Cook (PF), and Isaiah Miller (PG). Between them, they have about 4500 minutes of NBA experience (quite a lot for Ex. 10s). If we somehow traded a SG, PF, and PG for a player we didn't particularly want to keep (and presumably something more), these new Exhibit 10s would be nicely placed to replace those traded players.

Of course I don't think this scenario is really in play (it may not even work out money-wise to stay under the luxury tax), but it is remarkable who is available for Exhibit 10s now. Jackson has by far the most NBA experience, and Cook has been efficient, at least, both in G-League and NBA minutes. The Jazz must have liked Miller after his stint with the Jazz in the summer league this summer. He's small, but I thought he really competed as a defender. Maybe the Stars will recover some of the glory they had a few years ago with the Brantley, Morgan, Oni squad. Or maybe they'll at least get some of the Lone Peak crowd to attend games.

Top 25 protected that turned into seconds plus they wanted Bogey and to stick us with more salary. I think we can do better than that if we are patient, he is on a really, really good contract. I'd rather just keep him for garbage Suns deal.

I think I'm the king of Bolmaro Island. He's a spot-up 3-ball away (and it's not THAT far off) from legit rotation player, IMO.

I'm a fan of his game as well. I was conflicted when I heard the Butler news...I was upset that they released him, but I was also very happy that Bolmaro made the team. Kind of wish they would've kept both of them and waived Dok instead.
