Don is a 3 time all star. He's a special player. Not going to belittle his efforts here esp during the first few seasons.

There is video of him getting his head about the rim height without touching the rim. I would guess that's his peak height so around 36".

Sure. Im simply saying there alots of players his height and weight that are fast and can jump high and have a similar skillset. He does very well with his attributes but lots of players have his attributes.
There are not alot of players with markannnen height weight, shooting, dribbling, athleticism and skillset.

He's got more handle, more body control and more passing than you'd think. He keeps putting up highlights that look like a younger Ben Simmons. The difference, obviously, is the shooting touch.

I will no longer be comparing Lauri Markkanen's drives to a younger Ben Simmons. What happened to this guy?

As great as Lauri has been, his 3-point shooting is way down, just 24% so far. If he can keep playing at his current level AND get his 3-point percentage back up to his career average of 36%, he's going to be a force to be reckoned with.

I can’t stand the guy personally, but it just seemed like he was counting on the contact from the center and was surprised and a little off balance when it didn’t come. Still a douchebag though.

Awesome. I think he definitely has All Star potential, but only if the Jazz are good enough to make the playoffs. Won’t happen on a team that is consistently in the lottery. Definitely the guy I’d like to see them build around right now.

So the Jazz have effectively replaced Donovan with Lauri, in my opinion. The team has for moments shot the 3 ball really well so Bogey shooting has been partially covered. The only thing major this team is missing is Gobert. We have partially filled it with Vando's insane rebounding and turnover creating. And some from Kessler's presence and near basket touch. Olynyk gives the Jazz a whole different look and aspect. I am going to say we got good things going on and Gobert can't be replicated but... we might be just one star away from seriously being competitive...this team has really got it going.

Last two seasons it was over 80%. Its a lot about his again improved mobility. It allows him lower stance and faster steps so he isn't getting stripped as easily, which was a concern in his 3rd and 4th seasons if he ever tried to go inside handling the ball.
