What's new

Game Thread Nov 06, 2022 08:00PM MT: Jazz at Clippers

Like I'm 100% sure looking at our jerseys the whole game gave PG a headache towards the end which is why he missed his 3's. Case closed, best jerseys ever.
Ryan Smith owns Qualtrics or he sold it or whatever. He obviously used advance analytics in the development of these jerseys. Not for jersey sales but for the war crime level effects they will have on our opponents.

Money ball was NOTHING? Qualtrics ball is the new thing!

I was counting on a free Arby's roast beef sandwich tomorrow for lunch from the Jazz app. But the Jazz have to score 111. Missed by one point.

It's very interesting that Clarkson was on fire, but not taking great shots, and Hardy chose to close with Sexton. Again, Hardy just seems to have a good feel for the game. LA missed a lot of semi-open 3's in the 4th quarter that could have buried us, but it looked like they just ran out of gas/didn't have legs. Kind of crazy that we have played the most games in the NBA and are still running teams in to exhaustion.

It's such a pleasure to watch Mike Conley play at his best. Feels like he can finally play his natural role being a true pg. And this team is just incredible, I throw the expectations out of the window before every game and Jazz deliver the joy and entertainement every time.

This is what I told my friends on the way to the game last night. We have no idea what to expect. At any point the wheels could come off and we get slapped around. Or we fire on all cylinders and pound them down. Or we gut out a tough win. And I think the real team is closer to the third option. No quit at all in this team. It's their best trait. Absolutely a whole is greater than the sum of the parts situation. One of the most unselfish teams I've ever seen. I watched Clarkson on the bench in the 4th and he was cheering everyone on. He wasn't pouting when he wasn't in. That's leadership like we never had before. I also saw a lot more nuances in how he guided activity on the floor and had little moments when he was obviously coaching on the floor. Conley too, but it was more unexpected from Clarkson. One time when they were getting set up, Clarkson went up to both Sexton and I think Kessler and literally pushed both of them in different directions pointing and giving instructions. Ended up with some nice movement and an open 3. Those are the little things he and Conley are bringing we just didn't get to see last season in the Mitchell-does-everything-but-defense-and-pass show. Just love it. Best jazz team to watch since Stockton and Malone, not kidding.
