I've been asking who the leader if this team is for 3+ years. It seems like we finally figured it out and it should've been this way since day 1.

I was not happy with the Conley trade at first. But he proved me wrong after acclimating to the team for a couple months. When healthy he's been amazing for this team. Dude is a great player and great person. He's been hated on way too much on this board.

He has basically been the biggest scapegoat on the board the past couple of years when in reality he wasn’t the problem at all.

Just because Conley is playing well doesn't mean that the trade wasn't a mistake because it was. Building a mini me backcourt was never a good idea and the depth and length we sacrificed badly hurt us. It was questionable decision after questionable decision by the front office that slammed the door shut on what should have been wide open championship window.

I dont think a small backcourt was ever the reason we lost in the playoffs. The biggest choke series was against Clippers. That was one of the biggest chokes in NBA playoff history. If Conley was taller that changes nothing in that series. There isnt one player outside of a legit superstar that changes that series. That was some combination of health and mental issues with that team.

A coach doesn't say something like this and then trade the player. Conley is not going anywhere.

Huh. It's like Mike is a language interpreter for the team. He interprets coach speak into player speak, a true cultural broker. Mike has many skills.

This Hardy guy might turn out to be a pretty good coach. In the 3rd quarter, instead of subbing 1 or 2 players, he put the entire 2nd team in. That turned the game around
