Should the Jazz go for an upgrade at PG?

Keep the GS pick. Sheesh.

I really like Rondo's game but his attitude is questionable. I'd be hesitant on him. It seems Boston's been trying to see if there are any Rondo-takers for a couple years now.

When the Jazz had the best point guard in the NBA people said point guards don't win championships. I believe them. The Jazz have got to be the team with the biggest night in and night out edge at point guard over the last 25 years, no championships.

I'm happy with Harris.

Wait and get Kendall Marshall!
Agree, I'm not a NCAA guy, but I've gone out of my way to watch some UNC games this year. Marshall isn't flashy, he isn't the most athletic player, but he is the leader on a good UNC team, gets them in the offense. In Watching Marshall play he always makes the right pass at the right time. Call me old school, but I think we have plenty of offense, I want a true pass first pg. I can see Marshall getting 10 assists a game in the NBA.

Just speaking to Kendall, consider this (and I am an NCAA guy) ..

Kendall has neither of a) a quick first step (pretty slow, actually), and b) an outside shot.

Kendall is an elite passer, but how will he do in the NBA if he can't get around an NBA defender if he gets crowded .. if the defender sags, he can't hit the shot .. defense if the same story. I like Kendall, but an unathletic, non-shooter is a bit worrisome, but that's just me.

Good point, but when we had Stockton, we didn't have the depth and played in the Jordan era. When we had Dwill, we didn't have that legit big man next to him. I would argue that if we had Dwill instead of Harris right now, we would be contenders within a couple of years.

Yep. It's not one magic position. To say you win with an elite PG is just as ridiculous as it to say you don't need one .. not enough info .. it's about the entire roster, no?

Agree. I'd even say if you put Stockton on those 80's Lakers teams instead of Magic, they win championships. I guess the argument against pg's is that they can't be the number 1 option on a championship team. But I think Dwill with the team we have now would change a lot of people's minds.

Should the Jazz go for an upgrade at point guard? No. They should not try to upgrade any of their positions. Why try to get better?

I would keep all our assets and go for the upgrade through the draft.

I would love to see Harris's minutes cut back though. I just don't see him as even an average play maker.
