Really doe, if cp3 plays he probably takes some shots away from booker and the guys whose minutes went up in cp3 absence played very well.

Dont call it luck and try to take something away from that win. Suns played great. Just not as good as the jazz.

Not to mention them playing starters against our bench, which is the only reason they pulled close.

Hardy trusted our starters to come in fresh and finish the game for us, which paid off. Either way giving solid quality minutes to bench and managing load for stars will be good the long run.

Yeah, we can ask about the rewards of tanking to the worst record in the league when Zion and Ja were available, only to have the 7th and 8th worst records jump them and ending up with RJ Barrett.

Even better, we are 10-0 when he scores 18+.

In our losses he has 13, 14, 14, 15, 17 and 17. The Houston loss was only one of those games where he got 15+ attempts.
 
Just watch replay as i have to go at half time. Great play, we have the same energy we got earlier in the season. Despite KO beeing garbage, the others starters + Malik play well. Get some rest and hopefully we are not too tired tomorrow.

KO is hilarious to watch. He flops SO MUCH, and it wins us games. The pseudo 4pt play off the fontecchio 3 was kinda BS imo. He just flails around so much

That being said, he’s pretty important in making the starting lineup work in that he stretches the floor. The front court on offense and defense kinda works like this I think:

Offense
C: Vanderbilt
PF: Olynyk
SF: lauri

Defense
C: olynyk
PF: Lauri
SF: Vandy

Lauri is such a matchup nightmare at the 3 on offense, but he needs the right players around him so we don’t lose out on defensive end. Those 3 complement each other real well

He's scored 70 once, plus he had 59 against the Jazz when we intentionally fouled another player to prevent him from getting 60.
 
Wow, we just blitzed them to start the game. 27 points in the first 5 minutes. Lauri and Beasley were hitting everything. We definitely looked more fresh coming off two days rest at home.
 
Before the season I thought we were a 25 win team. After our hot start I thought we were .500 team. This win makes me think we are a top 6 seed.

I do think we are a somewhat fragile top 6 seed. As in, if we start having some injuries or a key player guess through a slump we'll drop in the standings pretty quickly.
 
The most perplexing thing this season to me is… we win every effing close game… after last year losing every close game. I don’t get it but I think part of it may be straying away from hero ball iso plays… been a pet peeve of mine in the nba forever.

I think its mostly the nothing to lose mentality. Our quality is good enough to keep us in those games and we close them out because we are under less pressure.

I think after 10-3 it showed that the pressure was building. Our 4th quarters lost us those 3 games, plain and simple.

Now if Lauri establishes himself and is as clutch as he looks, that might be our 4th quarter go-to card.

We could very well end up in top 6.

Something was off for me about that play. I watched that now about 20 times and just realized what it was.

Check it out: Markkanen was like disgusted with himself for having to take that shot. Even when he came to the bench he was fuming. He dont care its like one of the highlight plays of the year. Its like he wanted an easier bucket in that situation.

90% of players care more about being in highlight reels. Markkanen just wants to win. He is the real deal.

He did have beasley wide open for a three.
