We Got Swindled by Sexton (And Eddie Zero Sucks)

Regarding the Donovan trade:

Knick fans hate RJ.

With that said I think the Don trade is going to come down to the picks.

Knicks always treadmill so their picks are usually late lottery types. They had the #11 pick this past draft.

Cavs are always either good or terrible with no in between. If they are winning 50 games when those picks come due than it's a loser for the Jazz. If Donovan has left and they are back to the lottery in a few years then it could be a homerun for Ainge.

NBA.com did a Q&A with Mike where he also tells about mentoring Sexton and JC and helping Hardy with day to day stuff.

My favourite part is when he says they break down film with Sexton 1-1.5 hours during every team flight, and Hardy also comes to listen and chip in.

Sexton sitting out the end of this game with Conley out speaks volumes about what Hardy thinks of him at the PG position..

Damn…

Sexton hasn’t been playing under control. Someone please feed him some Tony Parker and Ty Lawson film. Develop a tear drop. Play fast but under control. Create for others. Not every play needs to be “charge 1,000 mph into 3 fall defenders” and attempt a dunk. More Tony Parker and less Nate Robinson.

He’s actually been playing better lately. Back to back 4 assists games in limited minutes.

He could watch hours of film and it wouldn't make a difference. He is who he is. There's no changing that at this point of his career.

For all the talk of him spending time with Conley and Hardy trying to develop this side of the game there has been developments and Hardy correctly utilises him as sixth man who is on the court to score, push the pace and provide a spark.

I mean he made a play tonight he normally has been messing up… not sure why a guy can’t make changes in his 4th year (essentially his 4th anyway).

JC made big changes to his game. Kid works and plays hard… there’s a chance.

I mean when you’re the backup PG but can’t get court time when the starting PG is injured..

Plus you’re paid $15m a year…

But if he was the price we paid for THE Markkanen.. who am I to complain.. Muahahaha!!!
