The problem is, rebuilding teams have 3-4 main young core players and the rest of the players are ok contributors. We have 4 good players in big men rotation, 3 similar talents in pg, and 5 very close players in 2 positions. Too many of same kind, not one dominant in any position. We gotta have a more clear rotation instead of giving everyone same amount of mins which is pretty difficult with current roster.
Love that Barkley just ripped Corbin's game plan!!!! LOL!!! Corbin is a laughing stock!! Jazz really sold us out by hiring him and extending him. Lets start a petition or something.
1. Hayward is the engine of our offense; run it through him.
2. Kanter needs to learn how to finish around the rim a la Z. Randolph.
3. Kanter has altered shots this game, has rebounded the ball, and is getting better at his d. rotations.
4. Millsap looks like crap and is rusty.
5. What the hell is Al Jefferson doing out there.
6. Harris is relatively abysmal.
7. Favors played 8 minutes.
8. This is as ugly a basketball game I have ever seen.
-Millsap clearly rusty in his first game-action of the year. Normally a good help-defender - I counted 3 instances in the 2nd-qtr he was late in rotations.
-Offensively we barely have any of our offense put in - and the basic sets we do have in we're not coming close to executing. It's one thing to push the tempo and take quick shots - but it makes no sense to take that approach when you have poor shooters taking quick jumpshots. Our players aren't even close to trusting the offense, and they stop and watch...gotta keep moving, keep screening.
-Josh Howard looks like a volume scorer who was just signed less than 2 weeks ago.
-No idea why Ty decided to go small on the Lakers final possession of the half. Put Evans in as a PF and when Kanter left to help Gasol easily rebounded over Evans and Hayward for the putback at the buzzer.
