Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Nets don't want Westbrook. Durant doesn't want Westbrook. Lakers, we can make it work. ;)
Just read the Woj article and it was like “lakers are interested but don’t want to add significant assets.” I didn’t think I could hate the Lakers more. We gonna meddle in your BS and eff your season and then try to play hardball. Go to hell. I hope they get Ky and sign him to a max extension then have it blow up a week later.

If the Lakers aren't including draft picks then they aren't getting Kyrie. That easy.

Westbrook won't cut it. They aren't going to trade AD, Lebron, and they can't trade Rui.

They could trade away every other player they have and not make it work. Westbrook does NOTHING for the Nets. He actually would cost them crazy amounts of luxury tax. It ain't happening without their picks.

Their only asset is an expiring contract in Westbrook and 2 delicious 1st round picks and whodafah wants Westbrook @ $47 million for 30 games?

Johnny Cash said it best...

Then walks in Trader Danny.

Could the Spurs do the same thing? Sure. But they can't offer the Nets back pieces that make sense and are valuable.

Pistons? They dumb. But in theory they could offer Bogdonovic & Burks back to the Nets while picking up Westbrook. But again... they dumb. And the Nets don't need Burks and Bogdonovic. They need guards and we have them.

And for anyone who still thinks keeping our crew of fighters is the right thing...

Clarkson didn't sign an extension with us...

We are middle of the pack...

Playoffs mean almost nothing for this team...

Our 2024 pick gets significantly better if we slide just 5 games back...

And we are mortgaging 30 games at the end of a fantastic season for dem balls dem balls dem lottery balls!

At very least this may give some additional leverage with Mike to the Clips... They may be willing to throw that first in to get it done now... maybe. I think most of this is really positive for us, but a chance it leads to a big dumb staring contest.

Pelinka said they would trade them for the right player. The Laker fan base won't accept it and won't believe if he doesn't. He put himself in a bind.
Kyrie IS that player. Bronny and Magic approved via twitter already. Picks don't matter in La La Land. Insert Bronny and Kyrie's faces below.

Nets need to tell KD "look we will do what we can to compete this year... we can't find you a home right now... please play nice here and we will move you in the summer."

Mike, JC, KD, Royce, Claxton with Beasley or Vando/KO off the bench ain't the worst return for Ky and Joe Harris.

I think you could loop in Atlanta and send John Collins to the Nets if they prefer something like that.

I don't know...if they offered both the 27 and 29 first round picks, I might be tempted to pull the trigger. Those picks could be very valuable.
Could be. On the other hand the lakers are a free agent destination. They seem to rarely suck badly. I cant ever remember them tanking.

True, but they did have a 6 year stretch from 2013 to 2019 where they weren't able to sign any big free agents and they finished 10th or worse in the west every season, including 14th three times and 15th once. Once Lebron retires they could definitely have some down years.

At least if nothing happens we still have a fun team this year. However, I just want DA to fleece somebody one more time this season.

Somethings definitely going to happen, likely multiple moves.

The Lakers had Kobe for 20 years.

Then they finished 15, 14, 11 in the West.

And then they've had LeBron for five years.

The Lakers are no more of a free agent destination than anywhere else if they're ****** and don't have a star to start with.
