Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

Ha ha ha. Lakers are not trading those picks...

But Lakers would for Cam Reddish?!?!?! Sure. Those are contradictory statements.

It's really about finally dumping Westbrook for contributing players. Clarkson and Conley instantly make that team better. They are 4 games out of 4th place. Failing to make the playoffs two years in a row with Lebron and AD isn't an option. Add in that they gave Westbrook and Ham their time to figure it out and... it didn't work. He broke.

We demanded 2 firsts before, surely. Now, it's about a rental for 1. Everyone moved so Lakers can sell something to their fanbase and management. Their fans don't care about draft picks.
I forgot to use the sarcasm font on the Reddish the bum statement. I figured it would be obvious to anyone read it. my bad.
The lakers are acting as if they wont trade those picks, however. I have to believe they are not clueless enough to think they can dump Westbrook without using both of them to do it.
I am not sure anyone would even see those picks as enough to take the man in a trade, if they are sending the Lakers any actual help anyway.
Any underperforming a former highly touted now reclaimation project like Reddish or similar as about all I see the Lakers picking up if they are waived or traded and waived somewhere else.

Utah sends: Conley, Clarkson, future CLE FRP
Utah receives: Westbrook, 2 Lakers' FRPs

Nets send: Kyrie and loose change

Lakers send: Westbrook, 2 FRPs unprotected
Lakers receive: Kyrie, loose change.

Jazz could throw in Vanderbilt, Olynyk or whatever to smooth things over.

I mean KD is out this summer no matter what right? Do they just take the Lakers picks for themselves... punt on the last 2 months of KD and then trade him for picks in the summer?

Man listening to the Hoop Collective guys and their offers for Kyrie are sooooooo low. Windy says no picks... Austin Reeves and Westbrook... lol. Tim is like maybe DFS and Josh Green and Hardaway.

Brooklyn should just call his bluff if those are the offers. I also doubt Lakers can hold on to their picks if Kyrie is available.

"Strong Suitor" would be the Blazers. What's the best offer they can give for Vando? I think it is a pick swap for this year if they pick is in the lottery. I bet we swap the BKN pick with them and they keep a top 3 protection on it.

Josh Hart + fancy 2023 pick swap
for
Vando + BKN pick

That could give the Jazz 3 picks for 2023 somewhere near the middle to end of the Lottery.

Nurkick is soft as tissue paper around the rim since coming back from his injury - near last in the league for rim defense. Vando would help them either play along side him or help with a transition away from Nurkick. That pick could be be valuable if Nurkick continues to worsen.

Why are we giving up a pick? If a pick is needed, they can have theirs back.

If there is a say to middleman Kyrie to Dallas, that is the move. Kyrie will burn that place right down to the ground. Any Picks from Dallas would be straight gold.

I don't think I would gamble Luka on taking a chance on Kyrie... seems like going to the casino and betting your whole life on green.

The salaries wouldn't work in this deal, it would work if the Jazz added Gay but I doubt the Blazers would take him. I also don't think Vando's value is that high, they might give us a second or two in a deal but I doubt they do a pick swap.

Gay and Vando for Hart is highway robbery and we should do it in a minute… if folks think we getting picks and swaps I think they gonna be real disappointed.

If the Gay and Vando for Hart deal was actually on the table, I think we would've already pulled the trigger on it.

Give them a ton of 2nd rounders on top of it...They are doing everything to trim costs and 2nd rounders would help them do that.

I dont think it ever was . Hart is not that good. Vander is worth more not trying to dump Gay and hence reducing the return to someone like Hart as the best case.
I think something along the lines of Vander for Johnson and Walker might have made sense if the TB were not secretly tanking. They are imo
