The salaries wouldn't work in this deal, it would work if the Jazz added Gay but I doubt the Blazers would take him. I also don't think Vando's value is that high, they might give us a second or two in a deal but I doubt they do a pick swap.

Give them a ton of 2nd rounders on top of it...They are doing everything to trim costs and 2nd rounders would help them do that.

I can't see any scenario where this happens... I mean Ainge had to have learned his lesson.

Only one team should think they can work with Kyrie and its the Lakers cuz of Lebron... its the only place the risk reward makes any sense.

If the Gay and Vando for Hart deal was actually on the table, I think we would've already pulled the trigger on it.

I dont think it ever was . Hart is not that good. Vander is worth more not trying to dump Gay and hence reducing the return to someone like Hart as the best case.
I think something along the lines of Vander for Johnson and Walker might have made sense if the TB were not secretly tanking. They are imo

Why are we giving up a pick? If a pick is needed, they can have theirs back.

Jazz probably prefer to have both Lakers' picks in their portfolio and BRK may want more than Conley/Clarkson for Kyrie.

Man... this is DA's shot to clear basically like $40M in cap room, get a legit shot at Wemby, get at least one other unprotected pick... all the benefits of tanking in 30 short painful games.

If we really want the Laker picks maybe we have Kyrie as a rental plus we send a couple of our players to the Nets where they can compete for a championship.. Kyrie loses money if he signs as a free agent so a trade with the Lakers after the season is over might be a possibility. Would the Lakers have 50 million in cap room?

Jazz could throw in Vanderbilt, Olynyk or whatever to smooth things over.

There is next to no chance the Jazz get both those LAL picks imo like this , even giving up a likely late first Cavs pick.
Sending out Kyrie means KD leaves this summer and they want the picks not win now vets in BKN.
I see very few scenarios where Irving gets to LAL

I’m going to agree with Cy on this one. Kyrie has a lot of issues, but the Nets have been trash at handling him. He should want to leave if they haven’t committed already and there’s nothing wrong with him saying it out loud. Dysfunctional relationship that was bound to end. Jazz can absolutely get involved and help move pieces across the board.

Heres the deal... we get the Lakers pick and essentially swap the Philly pick with the worse of the NOP and Lakers pick in 2023. Nets field a respectable team. We end up with infinity cap space and substantially improve our pick this year.
