Following potential 2012 draftees

The sophomoric nature of this board had worn me down. I love sharing insight with those that are sincerely interested, but those that just live here to be cute make it not worth it for a while. Behave. I'll be back once I've had some adult time.

This is at an all time high lately. I expect it will stabilize sometime.

I need to catch back up in this thread. I still really like Brad Beal the most out of any other prospect who will be eligible for the draft. I don't know if it's guaranteed he's one and done though. I looked at the 81st page of this thread and saw Givony's name referenced.

Givony is a little pudge ball who never played the sport competitively but had the savvy to create draftexpress. I'm not doubting the effort he puts into his website, but his evaluations are no more valid than any other basketball fan. So I hope no one takes what he says seriously regarding player evaluation. He definitely has some connections with front offices/college coaches/trainers/etc. to get a feel for the projected draft order, but other than that his opinion means nothing.

Mine, on the other hand....

Due to the apparent lack of PG talent, I'm thinking that the only way that the Jazz will get their PG of the future will be to trade for a young, up-and-coming one already in the league. Someone along the lines of Jrue Holiday, Darren Collison, etc. I could actually see someone such as Collison since the Pacers recently acquired George Hill. Even someone like Reggie Jackson from the Thunder. I know that some people were high on him before the draft.

I like MKG better than the other SF because of his defense. I would definitely be ok with Barnes and Quincy Miller. I still have my doubts about Marshall at PG. He is a great passer but his lack of speed and shooting ability will be a problem in the NBA. I worry more about his lack of speed.

Wroten is a guy on my radar. I saw him play for USA junior team and I was impressed with his passing, size and toughness. My only concern is his maturity and leadership. I think he got into some trouble and there were some rumblings about his attitude. It could be nothing but it is a concern. He has a ton of talent though. I like Drummond's physical tools but he might have the "CJ" disease where he only shows up a 1/3 of the time. Too bad Davis doesn't have Drummond's physical size. I like Davis too but he is really skinny and is raw offensively.

Good post. Disagree with nothing.

I would love to land MKG. Kind of personality that I would love on this team. Start getting these gym rats to go with the ones we have such as Favors and Hayward and create a culture of working your butt off for the Jazz.

You could probably say that about a lot of scouts. Look how many just completely miss in the draft and get total bust.
