Its Time to Tank

I think Bulls getting Beverly might actually help them. They seem lifeless and Bev's "energy" might be what they need for the last 20+ games. I can't imagine them being more lifeless so a shakeup should help.

Ehmm... Tony Jones wrote a piece saying we will feature Markkanen more heavily towards the end of the season.. making him handle the ball more and make decissions especially in the clutch and also running more iso with him.

Is this gonna be good or bad for the pick? Do we want him to thrive or have growing pains?

I think its good for the pick cause he will have some struggles and its good for him as he needs to grow that part of his game anyway so might as well do it this season.

I think it is a win win from a team standpoint. If he has growing pains then it gives him a bunch of feedback on what he needs to work on. If he thrives then it means he has taken his game to near superstar level. If he goes to that near superstar level then I'm okay with a worse pick.

Oh. Is this why we're bringing in more dudes who like to pound the air out of the ball?

I like this. Win either way. Even if he cannot self-create effectively at NBA level as he does in NT.. he will still be one of the most premium sidekicks because of the gravity and spacing he provides for another star while scoring 25+ with low touches.

Listened to an interview with the great Andy Larsen on the Drive with Spence Checketts... He mentioned the front office considering part of the value of the trade with LA that they would move down the standings. Said they would not be rooting for too many more wins this season. Said some FO folks kinda pitched it to him like if you move from 12 to 8 on draft night that would cost at least an extra first...

Feels like I have heard these sentiments before... I wonder if any posters on here had been saying basically that same thing. Strange.

Strange how the FO does that and then doesnt follow through with a JC/KO trade

There are degrees to this stuff and both of those guys might help us next year. If I say I'm going on a diet that could be cutting out sweets and eating out... doesn't mean I have to eat cucumbers and drink water exclusively. I might get good enough results making some significant changes without making radical changes.
