2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Great news, hopefully he pushes someone we like down.
I would take Filipowski with our earliest pick but not sure if we’d take a big with our first pick (Wemby of course we would). I don’t think he will make it to our second pick unfortunately. I’m a BPA and figure it out later kind of guy.

Tatum? Noooo shot. But I guess this is similar to Dalen Terry’s scoring being the same as Alec Burks. Take a weakness, consider it a strength, then make the comparison.

You were commenting about GG's physical profile. Specifically, you said, "GG doesn’t have great length, burst, strength, or vertical ability." Yet, in terms of size, length, burst and athleticism, Tatum is a good comparison -- 6'8", 210 lbs, 6'11" wingspan, good vertical athlete by NBA standards though not elite. I'm not directly comparing GG's game to Tatum's. I've always compared him more to Siakam.

Also, I don't see where I compared Dalen Terry to Alec Burks. I just did a search through Jazzfanz. I do see where I called Terry my favorite pick outside the top 15 last year when others thought he'd go late-1st. Then Chicago picked him at 18, so it doesn't look like I was far off.

Regarding Jackson, here's his last game with 7 finishes at the rim, including 3 dunks off cuts in halfcourt sets, plus a strong postup against a solid wing defender. Seems there's some decent athleticism there if you're paying any attention...

I do believe in BPA somewhat, as long as the guy you're picking is a level or 2 better than the next guy. But if they're within the same band/range, I'd rather just take who we need. That way there's no double up, they have the opportunity to develop straight away, and you don't have to try to trade them down the road.

I don’t think he’s currently projected as an NBA player but Tyler Kolek is one of my favorite players to watch in college basketball. 3rd in the country in APG with 8.0. Doesn’t score a ton but when needed he can score 20 with ease. Has 20 points (9/11) and 4 assists at half against #12 Xavier.
Yea I was watching him play tonight and he has some Stockton to his game.
