Kanter = Very Impressive

What I like about Kanter most is the he appears to learn very quickly. He had an ok/good first game and each game has gotten better. That and he plays like a bull down low. I love tthe physicality we show when him and Favors are in together.

Great post. If we learned anything this summer from Kanter is that he learns quickly and adapts. He got better and better with each game, and then a set back would come and he'd learn from that and improve.

The more burn this kid gets the better he will get, and I'm counting on Ty to know this. If Kanter gets the minutes this season he'll be very, very productive.

Not that I would say I have the best eye for talent, but he does seem to pass the eye test out there, while guys like Kofus never did IMO.
Kanter definitely was an amazing draft pick for us and has the potential to be an all-star. I've said a few times previously that whatever we get out of him this season is a bonus. He's a kid that hasn't played organized 5 on 5 competitively in close to 2 years. God only knows what that adjustment is like for him right now in the ****ing NBA.

Last night he looked great in his minutes, but there will be nights he looks lost. I just hope Jazz fans give this KID a chance to come into his own. He is most DEFINITELY a keeper.

He has been a good rebounder and show flashes of good and bad defense. His footwork is great, but his finishing is about as bad as I have ever seen for a 6'11 player (not named the Collins brothers). His putback dunk does show hope for him being able to finish strong, but you have to remember on putback dunks you get two steps to gather yourself. Can Enes gather himself and finish strong off a dropstep, or no steps? That remains to be seen.

I'm actually surprised Corbin has been going to the Kanter post-up play as much as he has considering it has produced so little. It shows good confidence in him, so I trust Enes will eventually come around.

Very good summary

I know it's only three games, but Enes Kanter is 3rd in the NBA in rebounds per 48. How long will it take for Brandon Knight to get rebounding numbers like that? Face it, Detroit blew their pick. Wow .. that was fun.

And, in answer to your question, Kanter could be averaging 14 ppg by the end of THIS season if he keeps getting burn. So, your post is a fail.

Kanter will never average 14 ppg in his career.

I think we really need to understand where Kanter has come from and what we've potentially have here.

Yeah he hasn't played more than 90 minutes of 5on5 ball for 2 years, and before that he was playing against highschool talent. Concidering what he's doing now, this kid could be special. He has next to no real basketball experience and he's busting skulls out there with pro's.

Excited.

Maybe. But I wouldn't be surprised with a 10/20 season in the next few years.

Dennis Rodman, who was probably the greatest rebounder of the modern era, managed to average 18.7 rebounds per game with 40 mpg.

Not saying it's impossible, but quite frankly, it's impossible. Especially when you factor in he will be sharing a frontcourt with Favors, who is no shabby rebounder himself.

So you think he will average 15 ppg this year and then higher for the rest of his career? We really have no idea how much he will average, but his offensive game is more polished then Favor's at this time last year (athleticism doesn't guarantee efficient scoring at all), he has a better touch than most bumping big men, he can develop his offensive approach much like Z. Randolph's, he is 19 (hasn't played consistently in years), and he broke the Nike Hoop Summit record for most points scored in a game (against the best players of his own age in the world). I for one would recommend waiting til he's old enough to buy liquor before you start making bold predictions about his career ppg. Spencer Hawes scored 15 last night after all.

KANTER also led Turkey in scoring in most of their euro games last summer. Kanter is a scorer and will eventually show that, and we will be feeding him in the post for years.
