I'm gonna have to rethink my view on message boards based on what I'm reading. It is sad though, I kind of thought of boards like this to be a good place to get information about the Jazz and their philosophy/movements, but apparently I have to read an entire post and analyze it in order to discover whether or not it is a fake parody rather than factual information. That's a lot of work that I don't have to do with say - a newspaper, or even Hoopshype, which rumor mill or not, usually takes itself pretty seriously and doesn't try to joke around and trick people into believing (if only momentarily) that for example Kevin OConnor would write a letter to the fans explaining his actions.
So the end analyses is that this board is for entertainment purposes only, and is not a source of serious Jazz related discussion. Duly noted.

I doubt anyone thought it was real. I just think it's a shame people have to attack each other instead of just discussing basketball. Besides, anything not Utah Jazz related is off-topic. This post included.

It is ironic, isn't it? Moderator gives me an infraction for circumventing profanity filter. Then turns around and does the same thing. Well maybe not so much ironic as it is hypocrisy.

If I may clarify, it was not the thread itself that was misleading, it was the title. I knew after the first paragraph or two that it was fake, however my apparently gullible brain went into the post excited to hear what KOC had to say in a rare communicae with the Jazz fans.
Fool me once............
I think I had cause to be a bit miffed, though I probably voiced too much of it and took it a bit too far.
Also, I think that my reactions were not harsh enough to warrant the backlash that I received.

I received an infraction for editing out/circumventing the profanity filter as well, but mine was due to habit. I also sent a nasty/sharp PM to moevillini. Fortunately he didn't respond and ban my ***...where is the justice I say? And what about the children? Will anyone please consider the children????

lol. I circumvented the profanity filter with my own profanity filter and was shocked to see I received an infraction. The email I sent wasn't especially nice, but basically I bitched about certain members getting away with thinly veiled bigotry and racism and how that was seemingly ok compared to circumventing the filter.
Nothing too juicy, but moevillini could easy ban me just the same for being an *** hole
If they banned us for that we would start dropping like flies.
