2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Zaccharie Risacher (ranked #3 2024 by DX) had zero points and 3 minutes total in the four game series against Mets 92. He is 8/9 months younger than Bilal, but it shows how hard it is to contribute at this level even as an elite prospect. These coaches do not like to rely on their talented teenagers.
Stop and think about the difference of competition level playing against Wemby and playing with Wemby....

I’m not sure how anyone can have JHS ranked higher than Black or Wallace. He is a worse shooter than both and he isn’t as good of a defender as either.
Because I think JHS is a better prospect. Better in the PNR and didn't rely on being big in the paint to draw fouls as his main source of offense. Better length and size to guard multiple positions. Better shake. Better shot form. Better with off hand. Bigger shot profile. Is a better fit with roster. Has a haircut.

It’s not that different. Mets 92 aren’t going against the Washington Generals. Wemby is the best player but it’s a competitive league.

Cannot wait to see your unbelievably stupid Bilal takes now that you found a new bandwagon to jump on.
He'll come around man. Let the prickliness go, it's just basketball and people can change their takes all the time.

That's rough. A Bilal/JHS draft would be elite, but can JHS last 5 picks?

If the Jazz stayed at 9 and took Bilal, then Hendricks would likely go 10 to Dallas, Dick could be 11 to Orlando. I don't think OKC would draft JHS as a priority. They might take George or Lively.

But then Toronto would likely take their choice of Bufkin, Wallace and JHS at #13, imo. NOLA might take George or Lively, depending on which is left. ATL might take another guard there.

At least one of Cason Wallace, Kobe Bufkin, Keyonte George or JHS would probably make it to #16, but it would likely be the last guy that other teams passed on. I'm not sure who else could break into that group. Hawkins maybe?

I'm kind of all in on Bilal. He's starting to string together really nice performances in the playoffs. If you can get him and JHS you really bring a ton of size and skill with a commitment to perimeter defense that is versatile.

If you clean up with Klintman at 28 I streak naked downtown.
I like that draft as well

If the Jazz can trade for #6 and #11 from Orlando, they could take Jarace Walker at #6 and Bilal possibly at #11. (It's sounding like Cam Whitmore is the favorite to go #5 to Detroit.) They'd probably need #11 anyway to get their first choice of PG (Bufkin, JHS, etc.).

It may be too hard to pull off a scenario to get Bilal and Cam. The hype is too high for Bilal although I think he deserves it he is not going to be there at any spot except 9.

My new take. Stay at 9, draft Bilal and acquire the 10th pick and select Black or Cason or whoever drops (pray for Jarace) and leave it at that.

It really feels like we’ve run out of anything to analyze in the last day or two so people are just wildin’ now.

I wanna believe in everything that you’ve said.. because it sounds so.. good..

How exactly do we just casually ‘acquire’ the 10th pick..?
