What's new

Raja Barf getting an attitude about playing time.

You guys got this wrong. 35 is not old for life, its old for professional basketball. I don't know your age but when I turned 32 my bball skills started to diminish. I love basketball and have played recreationally most of my life (still play now in my 50's), but I don't play competitive basketball anymore and haven't for a long time. Yes I can stand out at the three and hit 8 out 10 shots in practice with no one guarding me, but in a game I'm lucky to hit 3 out of 10 against other senior citizens. As you get older you don't drive at all and you play matadore style defense. Raja is old to be a professional athlete and his skills are diminished. He just doesn't see yet.

So you're saying his sight is gone now too? Sheesh, no wonder he can't play.

One of you clairvoyants tell me if this is code and he's trying to get a seat on the BM Bus. TIA.

played = used
competitive = hard
etc.

Cyrone

Your a smart guy tell me when professional ball players skills start to dimish with age.

Tell me the signs a players skills have started to diminsh.

I my view 34-36 years old you really start to decline as a professional basketball player due to age. Raja is 35. One of the easiest clues to identify this fact is free throws or lack there of. As you get old you lose that reckless abandon going to the hole. Raja has shot how many free throws this year? Burks in less minutes has how many attempts. I'm not a professional ball player and never was. I am one of the old guys who still likes to play and launches too many 3's. I accept that. The sooner Raja comes to accept this the better it will be for the Jazz.

PKM-- damn that was funny.

Raja should feel lucky he's even playing, much less starting. On a lot of teams he's be buried on the bench.

What drugs make you see things that aren't there? I've heard that about acid and mushrooms. But after several tries, some more enjoyable than others, I've yet to see something that isn't there. I guess salvia is kind of like that, but it's feels very much like a dream.

Also, I prefer Raja Fail.

This impressed me a few posts ago, when I saw it coming, so I repped you for it then.

Not much more hate we can throw Raja's way, time to flush him, as a player, down the toilet, like all the noxious substances we've compared his playing to, and move on.

For me personally it is not hate. I think I would like the guy personally. Family man, professional, well behaved (except when it comes to Kobe on the court and that earns him brownie points). I just think his ability to perform at the NBA level is gone. To bad because I would have loved if he still had "it". Time for him to move on to the next thing in life.
