2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Yeah, we tanked it. We also pulled off a few surprising wins against teams like Sacramento and Boston, which is why we're 9th in the draft order instead of 7th or 8th. It turns out that Walker Kessler is a floor-raiser.
Ya, I mean I’m 90% sure Sexton was good to go at the very least the last month of the season. They even let him come back for one game he was amazing in that game if I recall and then sat the last three games. Lol

You do have a point worth noting but there might be guys that can do that stuff to go along with athleticism and defense. For example, Walker
Walker is not a high level shooter.

Walker is actually another example of what he’s talking about:
-if Walker shot 40% from 3 on twice the attempts he’d go #2
-if Cam Whitmore had a 2:1 assist tone turnover ratio he goes #2
-If Amen shot 40% from 3 he goes #2

And so on.

These are Scottie Pippen measurables. (Not saying he's Scottie Pippen.) He has enough of a frame that he should be able to add 10 - 15 lbs eventually. He's a full inch taller and 2 inches longer than the Thompson twins. I think he eventually plays as a 3. Another physical comp is Andrew Wiggins, who was 6'8", 197 lbs, with a 7'0" wingspan.

I place more importance on other abilities as long as that guy is a capable shooter. Dudes do more often than not improve from being a capable shooter to a good one.

Are you saying at the college or NBA level or just all together?
NBA. He has a tendency to shoot on the way down and his FT% is worrisome.

His form is fine, though. He looks half comfortable. So maybe that’s a good enough base on the right team. On the wrong team I can see him really struggling.

I’m comfortable taking that bet here if he’s the one that falls to #9 because of our program and that I think he can be a backup big and play with Lauri. But for now he is definitely a big (with glue guy stuff).

Beat me to it. Thanks.

Kris Murray and Noah Clowney have been added to the Green Room for next week's draft. That's 21 Green Room invitees. Still no word on Leonard Miller. It sounds as though Murray is going to decline and watch the draft from home with his family.

Cason actually has some pretty elite stats. He came in at 3 on Pelton’s big board based on stats only.

Just like the opposite of the French League players I think the Kentucky guard thing works in his favor to me.
He’s a guy the closer I look at him the more I like him… some guys are very much the opposite.
