Bilal has shown he can be a high level role player as an 18 year old.

Whitmore was a 1 dimensional athlete on a bad team. I think he much more raw than Bilal.

Whitmore has more potential due to the scoring upside being massive, but Bilal has the higher floor because of the 3&D attributes

Bilal can’t shoot though. He went 1/15 off dribble-pull ups this season. He went 1/14 from mid-range overall this season. He shot 5/21 from 3 in the playoffs. He shot 59.5% from free-throw this year.

Just screams massive bust potential to me.

Whitmore was also bad off the dribble.

That is correct but Whitmore at least has an elite offensive skill. He was the best in all of college basketball in points per drive. He is an elite finisher at the rim as well.
Yeah, and Bilal is a high level off ball cutter and can actually pass without stalling the offense.

If Bilal struggled this bad with all of the defensive attention Wemby took away from him I don’t feel very good about his long-term prospects. I just don’t see it at all. He’s young and has insane measurables and people get all excited with that I get it.

He had some great games in the playoffs and played better than expected

I think Black could go as high as 5th or 6th. And he’s still my favorite. Ex-Jazz assistant coach Gordie Chies summed him up. “Yeah, Penny Hardaway,” he said, comparing Black (or what he thinks he‘ll develop into) to Hardaway. “He (Black) is tall. He’s good. I like him. I like his game. He’s a tall point guard. He’s instinctive. He knows what he’s doing. When he penetrates, he thinks pass right now. He’s bouncing in transition. Also, he can steal the ball. Also, what he does—he’s a defensive player. He’s got quick hands. When someone drives to the middle of the floor, he can pick their pocket.”

He isn't even remotely close to Penny Hardaway in style of play.
