2023 NBA Draft Megathread

How can you say 100% when you have loudly been stating it's impossible Utah likes him at 9?

Look, I dislike Hendricks as much as anyone at 9, but I fully realize Utah may not be in alignment with me and there's a high chance he's the pick at 9.

I will take my lumps if I am wrong about us drafting him. Just because I don’t think we will nor would I want us to at 9 doesn’t mean I won’t become his biggest supporter if he is the pick.

that is true. i'm not trying to downplay bilal by pointing that out. bilal for me is like a thompson twin. i just have no clue what to think - i know they have great size, length and athleticism, but have no clue if they are legit nba players in terms of skill level.
We just saw Bilal play a strong supporting role against a top tier Euroleauge team... It's not some hocus pocus thing. He wasnt great or anything, but he was out there holding his own.

I just dont get how he's a mystery when I think he is a pretty easy evaluation. Not that there isnt a wide range of possible outcomes for him, but I dont think the floor is all that low.

I was curious to remember how much Giannis weighed when he got drafted. Crazy to think he actually was lighter than Bilal when he got drafted. Bilal is about 5 months older.

So much of the messaging around the Jazz has been they arent looking to maximize this year, but 2-3 years down the road.

That would point towards Bilal as a draft pick.
Tbh - that would pretty much account for any of the top 10 players outside of probably Wemby and maybe Scoot. Everybody else is young and has huge upside. . . but it’s all about development.
