2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I think if you combine rumors, the Jazz may be simultaneously trying to trade up to #5 for Walker and to #7 for Black, in order to see which deal they can get. That would make sense.

If the Jazz were exclusively hunting Black, they could trade up to #6 with Orlando. If Orlando wants Black, then the Jazz would need to get to #5. In that case, #7 does them no good.

If the Jazz get to #5, they get to choose between Amen and Jarace.

If the Jazz get to #7, they get to choose between Ausur and Black.

Both moves maybe worth making. Assume that Cam is the odd man out for whatever reason.
DA is spinning a web of lies to get 100% of what he wants while paying 0% premium for it. He is the puppet master.

"The Jazz almost traded up with Dallas to #10 for _______, they are elated he was available at 16."
They had him 5th on their big board.

Its just how funny they feel they have to sell stuff at times... though maybe they won't cuz they won't draft guys like Dok.

Whoever drafts at 9 and 16, can probably get Cam Whitmore and Cason Wallace at this point. A few weeks ago, that would have been considered a nice haul.

I think the Jazz are moving up to 6 to get Walker (Orlando takes 9 and a pick where they draft Gradey Dick.) Jazz convince everyone they are after Black so Indy doesn't move to 5 and take Walker. And if someone moves up to 5 to grab Black, we don't care.

If fairly certain we do not trade 16 with the 9 though.

I'm very skeptical Cam gets to 9 still. I think its most likely Ausar... that said I would love Ausar and Wallace. I think 13-15 are all spots where Cason could go... even though he canceled the workout with Atlanta.
