What's new

Portland way more talented than Jazz?

Can you imagine if they had a healthy Brandon Roy and Oden....

...there is NO SUCH THING as a healthy Roy or Oden! There is nothing to imagine. They were both flawed humans when they came out of their mother's womb. No fault of their own. But to answer you question, yes the Blazers are more talented, better coached, better financed, better structured....and will win many more games than this rag tag bunch we got!

Harris is at or around 10th best in the league. 20th would put him around the likes of Jeff Teague, and Eric Maynor. Don't kid your self.

Miles has the same efficiency numbers as Crawford.

You are a little too high on Portland buddy.

PGs I would rather have than Harris as my starting PG:

Rose
DWill
CP3
Westbrook
Rondo
Lawson
Rubio
Curry
Holiday
Nash - if we're talking the next two years
Calderon
Lowry
Conley
Parker
Felton

Wall & Evans would be headaches, but their potential factor would make me like them more than Harris as well.

I'd put Harris in the 15-20 category with the likes of Jameer Nelson, Collison & Jennings

I'll bet before we had him you would have listed him at least five and possibly ten places higher. Familiarity breeds contempt.

He should be ranked above or at the same level as rubio, holiday, calderon, lowry and conley.

Agreed with lowry, conley, and rubio. Id say calderon and holiday are at the same level, with jrue probably progressing past this level. But yeah, as jazzfanz we always manage to gripe about something. I see Harris coming into his own, offering a steady 15/7 by the end of the season, which is wonderful, if you take into account that Hayward will need his assist numbers as well. I don't want Harris to have all control of every play being run like Dwill, meaning that I don't care for him to be a 20/10 player. 15/7 with good defense would be wonderful, but hoping for good defense might be wishful thinking from what Ive seen thus far.

Yeah, I edited to say same level.

Agreed with the defense.

This is so true.

Portland has found a very nice combination of players. I thought they'd go after Dalembert or Pryz but 1-4 they are very tough. GW and Wesley are perfect fits for that coach and team. They consistently put out more effort than their opponent.

I do think they were foolish to throw more money after Oden rather than just sign a guy that can play.

Yes, I think Portland is more talented and experienced. They play harder than the Jazz. I am surprised by how good they are but when you play hard and as a team good things happen.

Portland matches up well with LA. They have always given them a hard time. With the additions of Wallace and Crawford, I am not that surprised they handled the Lakers.

The Jazz need to look at Portland and continue to add athletic guys who are tough and can create for themselves. Yes, I would love having Batum on the Jazz. CJ for Batum get it down KOC. LOL.

Agreed... Teams like Portland & Denver have so much more experience than Utah.
Wait till Favors, Hayward, Kanter, & Burks gain NBA confidence & I think we can see this team play like them say 2nd half of next season.

I hope it is closer to the 2nd half of this season.
