2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Couple of shoutouts for some guys:

@Saint Cy of JFC
@Ferguson_Mellochill
@KqWIN

You guys were right about Bilal. An NBA team took him in the top-7. You guys saw the potential that I didn’t and it was proven tonight. No hard feelings for anyone and your insight is greatly appreciated in these draft threads.

@Handlogten's Heros
@Bodhi

The two guys who were in on Hendricks early before others saw top-10 potential. Super stoked he was our pick tonight and can’t wait to see him play. You guys are huge contributors in the draft thread as well.

@seattlejazzfan
@Jingled
@ONE LOVE
@NUMBERICA
@stitches
@fishonjazz
@SoberasHotRod
@Coach Ellis
@framer

You guys are huge contributors to the draft thread and I really appreciate your posts.

@default
@Bawse Dawg
@whatthe

It was nice to see some new posters in the draft thread and I hope you guys make it a more common thing in the future.

I am sure I’m missing a couple guys and I apologize. It has been an absolute blast discussing prospects with all of you and at the end of the day we are all Jazz fans. I know there have been some arguments and there is no hard feelings from me I appreciate all of you.

We crushed this draft and I can’t wait to watch our new guys in SL!
Young Jefe shoutout

Any word on why his medicals were bad. We’ve heard leg and possible heart rumors. Also, hints that he was the guy vaping in the locker room. How does stuff like that not get leaked in greater detail in this “age of information “?
Probably because it's confidential information.

I just know it was very bad, no details given.

It's just wild how close we were to my optimal draft vs what we got.

Basically one pick away from either Bilal or Walker, which would have been my top realistic picks at 9 and possibly one pick away from JHS, who would have been my top pick at 16 and someone I had rated extremely highly.

Do I know they would have taken JHS if George was off? No, but every indication was that he was the next guy.

Honestly I sorta get the vibe.

I walked away realizing my wettest dream draft was possible and we passed on a: Tay/Cam/Sidy draft.

That’s wild
Look that some loser vibes and we need to get that **** gone.

I wanted Cam but in my mind I will tell myself he has no knees, said antisemitic things in interviews, was caught doing heroin in between workouts and has a less than ideal credit score. Then it makes it better.

If all 3 players hit as far as their shooting projections go, Utah will have a pretty insane shooting team. We are kind of setting up to build another version of the Rudy Gobert teams.

Washington saved us from drafting Bilal. I am super grateful for that.

I still think there’s a decent chance some of these kids were brought in because they’ll look good shooting the ball and can be positive assets when they go to make a trade for a star player.
