2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Of it was the character then it’s possible teams have been told to keep it quiet as to not taint the NBA.
I have a vague sense that something like that is going on... like there are character concerns that to verbalize would just come across as labeling a young kid in a way that creates a bad look or something. Seems like it can't be something medical--that's a really standard, easy, common thing to point to for someone sliding and there'd be no reason to pull that particular punch.

Its clear Cam dm'd every owners daughter and asked if they could show him around town if you know what I mean.

It's medicals.
According to Fisher it was a knee and a foot thing. Dated back to something that happened in 8th and 9th grade or something... I think from like 10-20 its worth the risk... Houston kind of a **** environment for him to learn though. I like Amen and Cam... hopefully Fertitta stays out of the way and lets them all grow.

Think the nba teams maybe overreacted... again.

That's bold.

Really hope you are right.
I believe he averaged more points than anyone in that range (not sure about the twins cause of the league they played in) and did it while not being considered a scorer or ball handler and did it more efficiently than all of them. Also rebounded decently and played very good defense. You could easily argue he was the best offensive player of the bunch and best defensive player of the bunch. Has size, length and athleticism. Just didn't have the magic hypothetical potential upside or whatever. He was basically the best player of the everyone picked in that range if you go off production. Production is what matters to me. Way more than what you hypothetically might could do.

Its probably one of those things that will come up in 4-6 years. Kind of scary because he could hit early then you pay him big and his body breaks down.

You must be insanely hyped about Sensabaugh then.

Idk if he has the length, athleticism, size of Hendricks and Im not sure you could say Brice is the best defender of the players picked 4-9. But ya, brice seems to be a good scorer.
Also I mentioned that Hendricks did it while not even being considered a scorer or a high usage guy or ball handler etc. That is also different from brice i believe. I think he is thought of as a high usage ball in hand kind of dude.

And some of those things never really come to fruition… like with Malcolm Brogdon his foot was described as a ticking time bomb. Some of it like with Roy and Bender becomes career enders. In the teens I take that risk.

And I watched him a few times during the year. I liked him really early… he gets his production all in the flow of what the team is doing. It was almost annoying they weren’t feeding him more. I really think he’s gonna be a little like Lauri… not touching the ball a ton… not forcing anything and then you look up and he’s got like 15 first half points.

What kinda sucks *** is Taylor and Lauri are both the types of dude we needed to pair with Don and Rudy… just seems like our timing is always off on these things.

So all that **** about drafting a playmaker that defends, being our highest goal, but its ok he cannot shoot is over right? Thanks God I don't have to watch AB on this team.
He will soon be forgotten by everyone, he isn't going to be any good in Orlando either.
I like our draft , I still hate passing up on Hawkins even for a hard to find archtype like Hendricks, and I do think Keonte has the moves to become a legit Sexton replacement in time. Brice is kind of a round mound type, hope he can handle the grind.
In the end lot of prospects left on the board at every spot I might have taken .
My draft would have been Hawkins 9 but I get taking Hendricks there. I def would not have let Cam or Whitehead injuries or not slide past 16 and stealing Leonard MIller at 28 ( wtf happenned to his stock?)
