Another HUGE thing to remember is that Walker Kessler is a guy who can potentially get played off the court in the playoffs.

This trade gives the Jazz the ability to play regular season and playoff lineups. We are matchup proof in the front court

Let's talk opportunity cost for a second. Who are the desirable FA's this trade will cause us to miss out on that we could have otherwise signed?

Basically nobody. Ku would have been interesting but he is money hunting. He doesn't offer the small ball 5 versatility Collins does.

Nobody and depending on what happens with a couple of guys we could still end up with a max salary slot.

You can get a decent look at his finger at 0:31 in this highlight video. Doesn't look perfect but seems reasonably ok.

Actually I guess that is not last season but the season before (2021-2022). So that video was not relevant.

If you want to argue who will be better in a limited role, that's a different convo, but as far as talent I would say JC has the clear edge

Hmmm.....something feels off about this numbers comparison. I wonder what it could be lol.

Probably thinking about how the NBA game is way faster pace with more scoring and more possessions so Collins numbers are a little inflated in this comparison.
