Works very well with Dunn.Alright, so I’m really hoping KO is gone. I love KO, but I wanna see a Hendricks/Collins/Lauri frontcourt lineup.
He has 6.8 million reasons to be happy. He was absorbed through their trade exception, so I think Rudy will probably be waived or bought out.
a trade that cements the #9 pick in the draft to the bench. fun.
that said, i'm a john collins fan, always have been, therefore a fan of the trade and hopefully jc can overcome the finger injury.
He’s the #9 pick, so when’s he going to play?I don't think it is weird at all. First off Hendricks is only 19 and is probably best off in the 15 to 20 minute a game range this year. I also think he is viewed as more of a 3/4 by management while Collins is viewed as a 4/5.

Let's talk opportunity cost for a second. Who are the desirable FA's this trade will cause us to miss out on that we could have otherwise signed?

Kuzma.
VanVleet.
That’s probably it.
I mean. . . DA basically had to trade 3 rotation players/starters and then sit Clarkson, Sexton and Markkanen a bunch down the stretch just to duck the play-in game. Hardy is pretty good at taking a rag-tag bunch of misfits and making them function as a team. This trade shows a lot of confidence in Will Hardy. He is going to have to manage an unusual, but talented, roster while trying to develop rookies. There is likely to be a lot of players looking out for #1, and that will make it hard to play team basketball. All while not having a floor general to keep everything balanced... If we could add John Stockton to this team it would be great, but having it ran by score first PGs might be UGLY.
He would have to work on his ball handling a lot but I doubt it. For a 7 footer he dribbles ok but his handle is too loose for that to be a major part of the offense imo.
• Can Lauri run the 3 as a Point Forward?
