Who will be the starting point guard on opening night?

That's not his role to be a facilitator. He is a scorer not a pass first guard or facilitator. He is capable of asked to but it isn't a permanent thing

well, some do both. Westbrook, Harden, Doncic. of course JC is not in this class, but if he ups his passing game with less tunnel vision it also opens up his scoring as defenses are less likely to collapse.

Y'all remember the pain of watching our second team before JC arrived. I would cheer for the clock and cross fingers to be able to score enough to not blow leads. He had one job: get buckets. It is different now and I think he can continue to adjust.

I had a dream last night that I was at the first game of the season. It wasn’t Vivint, though. It was like a middle school gym. I’m fact, it was probably more like that tiny fake gym at Bayside. Anyway, someone started, I don’t remember who, but what I do remember is that Collins actually came off the bench. He immediately hit a baseline jumper and there was some “I told ya so”s from the crowd, being premature. Not I told ya so in terms of him coming off the bench, but the idea that he hit his first shot and “I told ya he’d be amazing off the bench” from that one play alone.

All in all, a fairly grounded dream.

I love the fire this kid has. Hope everyone has that fire. And if he gets there, I hope his play making is improved. That's what we need. If we get a solid return for Lauri and maybe a break out for Sexton and everyone else plays solidly as expected it could be an exciting year. I'm really looking forward to it.

Yeah, Sexton is going to have that mindset and it might hold his career back. Not a lot of teams are going to want a player like him as a starter compared to how effective he could potentially be as a 6th man. It's why I worry about starting him because he's going to be crushed when Keyonte takes his job the next season.

Sexton is better suited as a starter than Clarkson. He doesn’t hold the ball as much and a more willing passer. And more efficient.

Agreed. I think his fire is needed on this team since a lot of the guys seem to have more laid back personalities. I think both Sexton and the Jazz are going to surprise some people and have a lot better season than most are predicting.

Obviously the sample size is smaller for Dunn, but we just can't ignore how well he played. His defense sets him apart, and with his experience, he doesn't make many mistakes or poor reads. The dude is also a pretty good playmaker. I'm sure he trains hard this off-season to get a chance to show what he can do.
