Does anyone around here brew their own beer from scratch?

I've been interested in brewing my own beer for quite sometime.
I've brewed beer from a kit before, but I want to do it completely from scratch.
I also wouldn't mind making some rum from scratch as well :)
Experience anyone?

Drinking beer leaches important nutrients from your body and destroys your brain cells. It's worse than Western medicine. Stay far, far, far away from beer.

Interesting comment.
Seeing as how human beings have been drinking alcohol since the dawn of time.

Imagine how much further along we would all be if they hadn't. Maybe the civilizations that are now visiting us as UFOs were just like us on the exactly same timeline, but without any influence of alcohol. You don't know.

Yeah, who knows man.
So what's your point?

I watched an interesting documentary that I think was called "How Beer Saved the World." It hypothesizes that much, very much actually, of early human civilization centered around providing a constant supply of beer. You should check it out.

Yes, but there are authors proposing a link between transitioning from whiskey breaks (depressant) to coffee breaks (stimulant) and look what happened. Industrial revolution.

I brewed my own beer twice with a Mr. Beer kit. That **** got poured out and not over some dead homies.

Wow, I've never seen a message board so full of beer and alcohol haters.

Like a great man once said, "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."

They've also all died. The correlation with alcohol and death is perfect!

There was no alcohol in the Garden of Eden and they never died.

Now this is funny.
Jack Lalanne died just about a year ago, and was one of the most healthy fitness guru's of a generation.
But he died, so that must've been because he drank some beer.

Thank you franklin for being so predictable, and awesome.
We need people like you, who stand up against the evils of beer and Western Medicine.
We all know of your deep hatred for liquor, wild women, and doctors.
I will support you in this, your lifelong crusade.

*psst - Silencer, I can get you a great recipe for home brewed beer, but don't tell franklin. It's called sassafras.

I didn't say I had one did I?
I believe the thread that was started asked a simple question.
You might want to read a little bit more before asking irrelevant questions.

Have you ever hammered a 16 penny nail up your nose? I hate it when that happens!
