And just because I'm positive doesn't mean I Have to be positive on everything.

Lyles was almost universally not liked here and it’s the opposite with Hendricks. I’m not sure I get that comparison at all.

Tvf I think Cy is more of an optimist than a pessimist.

I don't think a trade up was in the cards. I go back to the Jazz straight up saying on draft night that they would have taken any of the eight players picked ahead of them over Hendricks I have NEVER seen a team say that about a draft pick in any sport.

I think it was common knowledge around the league that there was a drop off after #8 and we happened to have the ninth pick, it's the most Jazz thing ever, so shouldn't be surprising. What I'd be more curious to know is where other teams had Hendricks, did everyone see him as a top guy in that next tier? Or were opinions much more varied? Obviously we liked George more than others, so great job there (I have to remind myself that we got him at #16 in my head it's always #10).

All that said, only Cason so far is really do anything to make us lament taking Hendricks at #9, so I'm okay with it for now. If George was taken between 10 and 16 and looked how he looks with us we'd be much more salty than we are now, all in all things worked out okay.

If Keyonte continues his trajectory, and Hendricks becomes even a rotation level NBA player, it's a successful draft. Maybe even a great one.

I think Taylor was considered in the same tier as Walker/Bilal... Maybe that's me hearing Tony say there are 10 players in that tier but you say Taylor's name mentioned as early as 5 or 6 at times. Whitmore sliding I think threw a kink in some of the consensus projections.

You probably know him better tbf.

Based on my experience he has a very strong bias but doesnt usually panic over bad performances as much as the average poster, has a positive outlook on the future of the team and before he forms those strong opinions he seems to have a very positive disposition towards most of the young players (based on following the draft thread).

I think the biggest problem with him is whoever the board favorites are he decides to **** on any chance he gets and whoever the board doesn’t like he hypes them up to no end. Not sure if it’s for attention or what but if he just stopped doing those two things he would improve immensely as a poster.

I like Cy as a poster a lot when he’s not doing his bit. He’s actually quite knowledgeable.

I wonder what the front office is thinking with guys like Ausar, Black and Bilal all playing well while they stood pat and took Hendricks who’s in the G-League.

Probably still OK with what they did like 11 games into the season.

The board favorite is Lauri and I dont see myself hating on Lauri? Do you? I said he would average a career high this year.
