Two things:You'd think somebody that can jump like that would be able to play good D as a SF for 10 minutes a game, so its a bit of a mystery to me too.
Can he not move horizontally, just vertically?
Just because some is listed at SF on the stat sheet doesn't mean he has to shoot from outside. I wonder if Evans could guard SFs, and post them up on offense, just like write4u always wanted AK to do, but was never done, apparently.
I wonder if Evans at the 3 might be a good help defender in a zone defense, but it is hard to say without seeing it.
You do realize they have had 1 practice up till the Lakers game. This year it is going to be difficult for young players to earn playing time in practice.Well, Ty and the coaching staff DO see it everyday in practice. That's why I usually trust their judgement.
Evans is too weak to use strength in his game and perimeter players generally need to be able to spread the floor. At least if they want to win and/or get real rotation minutes.
