Man, you don't have to try and balance out the board with everything. This is a fan site, people are allowed to get excited about our players playing well. Most of us are able to put these things in context and understand just because a player is playing well they won't always play well. It's ok to enjoy the ride or at least let others enjoy it.

Its not a boss level troll fight to brag about and he doesnt not even drop loot.

Uhhhhhh, he's been playing on the ball more lately, not off. They started the season off by having him off the ball much more and lately he's been on the ball more.

Maybe I should've phrased it they are game planning to have him drive and kick moreso than having him hang out on the perimeter trying to make halfcourt offense decisions with the ball.

He was fairly efficient offensively last season mostly off the bench but the truth is most of our guys are probably not in the future plans if we're being honest.

As fans it's still ok to get excited about the current players on the team when they play well. His rim pressure is definitely helping this team right now and he's playing way less selfishly too.

Yeah, I get what you are saying. My point is that it was even more so to start the year off. Lately they have been giving him the ball more as a PG in the half-court.

Probably a combination of things, but that's a good list. I heard he has been doing a lot of film sessions as well. I think it's just all coming together.

It's also mental. And I'm sure Hardy and his staff have a lot to do with it too. We'll see if it sticks as old habits are hard to shake off. But the signs are good.

Kudos to Collin. Great run by him the last 2 weeks. I for one won't bitch about "high usage" if he's shooting ~50% from the floor, high ~30's% from 3, getting to the FT line, and not turning the ball over. That's a statistical recipe for offensive success.

No comments on his defensive performance. Haven't paid as much attention to that side of the ball.

He's definitely more locked in on both sides. I wonder if the zone/box-1 feeds his hyperactive ADHD style in a constructive way. Even when he got isolated on the post he guessed right and got a clean swipe on a dude. That was an easy layup or turnaround earlier in the year.

I also got some **** for saying the floor isn't spaced for drivers with Collins/Kessler on the floor together. I think its more spaced right now.

I think JC's ball stopping and perpetual dribbling is a big cause of the offensive woes. Having everyone stand around and watch him cook was boring and ineffective... but everyone seemed to defer to it.

Whatever it is about starting we need to continue to roll with it. Goosing his numbers and performance at worst will raise his trade value even if it doesn't translate directly into wins.
