Walker Kessler Bench Appreciation Thread

He has no future as a shooter unless something drastic changes
Nether did Brook Lopez. He didn’t shoot threes the first 8 years of his career. He didn’t have a future in it either, hell I’d guess Kessler is a more accomplished shooter now then Lopez was in his second year. Lol

The Brook Lopez comparison is easily one of the dumbest reoccurring arguments I have ever seen.

I think we are already seeing peak Kessler. It doesn't seem like he has the kind of personality it would take to get better. He just isn't a competitive person.

He's just soft soft soft. And nice. No snarl whatsoever. Fine for college ball, too great a liability when his game is so unidimensional.

Kessler has a big problem. He is not good at free throws, which greatly affects his shooting foundation. What he needs to do now is practice free throws and finishing in the paint.(three-point shooting is not what he needs now, it is a bit counterproductive)

Kessler will be a Rudy type. Too many weakness and not hard mental as Rudy. If he can go at the same level in defense, i will be happy. But he will never be a good offensive player on my opinion.

I however he is shooting like 80% from the line (low volume) in like his last 10-15 games.

He is also better from the line than last season. Hopefully he does what gobert did from the line in terms of improvement.
