2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

If Reed Sheppard played today, hit five 3s and had 4 steals, everyone would be calling him a top-4 pick again. Gotta chill the recency bias.

Or maybe you should revisit his success given another very important data point. He was already trending top5-6 imo.

Legit excited for this title game. I do think the UConn guards will be the difference.

New ESPN 2024 NBA Draft Big Board from Givony and Woo was just updated today:

1. Risacher
2. Sarr
3. Clingan
4. Dillingham
5. Topic
6. Buzelis
7. Sheppard
8. Knecht
9. Williams
10. Collier
11. Walter
12. Holland
13. Edey
14. Castle
15. Salaun
16. Filipowski
17. Carter
18. Da Silva
19. McCain
20. Missi
21. Smith
22. McCullar
23. Klintman
24. George
25. Carrington

Biggest risers and fallers since their last big update in January:

Clingan 13 -> 3
Sheppard 16 -> 7
Buzelis 10 -> 6
Dillingham 7 -> 4

Salaun 6 -> 15
Walter 4 -> 11
Filipowski 9 -> 16
Williams 3 -> 9

Dunn went from 12 to not in their top-25. Da Silva and McCain went from not in their top-25 to 18/19.

Given the chance, everyone gives up our pick and Kessler for Castle and Clingan, right?

I'm not there. I agree that Clingan is an upgrade on the offensive side over Kessler. Kessler is very dependent on pick-and-roll. But I'm not sure Clingan is enough of an upgrade to make me want to jump. Also, Castle just isn't my guy inside the top 10.

I think when the chips are down, the first 4 picks in the draft will be Sarr, Risacher, Topic and Buzelis. I could see Clingan go in the 7-10 range. For me, Castle starts to enter the debate along with Holland, Sheppard and Knecht. Williams is a wildcard who didn't look good coming back from injury. If he works out well during pre-draft, he'll move up a few spots again.
