He allegedly was groomed by his girlfriend. She had been dating him when he was 16, meanwhile she had already graduated with a Bachelors at Auburn University and was round 24-25. It's a pretty big topic among the social media crowd, and because drafted him and employed Karl Malone for 18 years the Jazz are being clowned (Even though our draft pick is the victim in this case so I don't see the resemblance).
 
The story has now been out for a little less than a week... has there been new evidence or others close to Kyle who have stepped forward to support the claims of his mother and brother?

I mean considering that Kyle has been a closely monitored college athlete for the past 2 years you would think that teammates, classmates, childhood (or other) friends and professional adults who have been watching Kyle's life would step up. I mean if not for caring about Kyle, then at least for their 5 minutes of fame that seems to drive people to do whatever these days.

If its still only the mother and brother, then perhaps the rift that exists within the Filipowski family may exist for a completely different reason. I mean doesnt grooming usually also involve isolating that person from other past connections as well, not just the persons genetic family?
 
I mean people must realize there are not 1 but 2 worst case scenarios where Kyle turns out a victim both times:

1) Kyle is a victim of grooming. If so, people who have been close to Kyle (other than his family) need to step forward.

2) Kyle's GF is a victim of slander from Kyle's family, that has also been blown out of proportions by social media. If this is the case then the fair question to ask is that did teams find out about this in the pre-draft process, and did that cause Kyle's stock to drop potential costing him a lot of money as well causing him significant mental distress?

Definitely desperate, but that fits both narratives.

I'm thinking the woman is somewhere between "scapegoat" and "gold digger". Flip is a rather handsome young dude who has already made NIL millions and is about to make a lot more, and to say he is (at this stage) in a position of power imbalance in this relationship just because of the age fails to acknowledge the other factors that contribute to the power balance.
