What Howard and Watson really make

We all thought the Jazz were paying Howard 3 mil and no one had any idea on Watson. Well, sham sports recently updated numbers for the 11-12 season, and they're much more reliable and accurate than Hoopshype.

Turns out, Howard is making 2.15 this year, and Watson is on a 2yr/4M contract. Very good numbers.

And incidentally, Jazz are paying Tinsley the full minimum for a guy with his amount of years of experience. Normally, a team only pays the vet minimum for two years experience, and the league pays the rest for tenured years, but since the Jazz did a two year deal (team option on the second), they have to pay the full amount, which is about $400,000 more or so.

Looking at those numbers make me a bit sad about Jeremy Evans. He's making less than 8% of what Harris is making.

Hope he saves some of that money in case this b-ball thing doesn't pan out.

I know poor guy is playing sports for a living and making less than a million, pretty rough life. That's why I am not a NBA player because I would not work for that low of money, max money or nothing for me.

I'm pretty sure if a NBA career doesn't pan out he can play somewhere else for more than enough money. I'm also sure he will get another contract after his rookie year.

That's probably why he's so skinny! He's saving all his money and he can't afford a decent meal!

Maybe we could start some type of "Feed Jeremy Evans" fund here on Jazzfanz and get the thread stickied next to the 500-page "Trade Devin Harris" thread?

I keep hearing this and am wondering why??? I've found plenty of errors in their data at times, but maybe that was a product of the lockout.

Interesting to see the actual drop in rookie scale contracts by comparing Kanter to Favors offset a year. The two year team option is a nice addition as well.

$53mm -$15mm amnesty is looking sexy.
Jazz likely wouldn't have to pay anywhere near the full amount as someone would pick up AJ on waivers.
