DEI... Dude, she was the ****ing VP. She beats Trump in more than a few polls and Biden doesn't step aside unless the numbers supported it. Nearly all of the party, the donors, and leadership has rallied around and endorsed her. Find some new talking points.

She sucks. Her track record sucks. We need someone who people like and she's not it.

Yeah, maybe she isn’t the best candidate.

Also, I love listening to mayor Pete speak. Even when I don't agree with what he is saying (I didn't agree with some of what he said in this video) he is just so composed and prepared and comes off as very knowledgeable.

He does his homework on a subject.

And despite sounding very intelligent he still manages to speak in such a way for those of us who aren't that smart (like myself) to still be able to grasp and understand the information he is providing.

Oh please. Trump choose Pence because he shored up his Evangelical creds, which he was sorely lacking at the time. DEI selection by your logic. Clinton chose Gore as his running mate as Gore shored up something Clinton was lacking at the time: family value appeal. Hell, Ross Perot back in the mid 90s chose retired Adm. Stockdale because it gave him some "military cred". Reagan chose Bush Sr. because he had deep government experience, which Reagan lacked at the time. Every Veep is initially selected during the first term for some reason or another. It does not change the fact they were the ****ing Vice President.

Is anyone going to talk about the original DEI, Trump? What has he done to accomplish anything? He inherited a bunch of money from his dad, bankrupted a bunch of businesses, and raped women. He even admitted that because he was a rich old white guy that he could grab women’s private parts and get away with it. He’s an unbelievably flawed candidate. Why don’t we ever focus on him?

Why are Democrats always the ones falling short?

I almost exclusively focus on trump and his flaws/shortcomings. So do many other posters

I think Biden's endorsement will do it for her, but it make take a round or two as the delegates are technically now uncommitted. Pete would make the Evangelical wing of the GOP absolutely apoplectic, so I'm good for that. Oh yeah, he's actually likeable and comes off as intelligent as well.

She doesn’t have to be the most well liked. She just has to beat Trump. Why are people always focusing on her faults and never on Trump’s?

I suspect that no matter who the Democrats find, there will be faults. And if people just focus on those and never on Trump, then I guess Trump will win no matter who the Democrats choose.

I agree, she was chosen because she's black and a woman. I remember at the time thinking how ridiculous it was that they chose her and how ridiculous it was that if old man Biden croaked she would suddenly be our President.
