Agreed to a point. As soon as the agenda becomes the plot or almost comes in as a character then it becomes in most cases trash. I mean you could argue that "A Handmaid's Tale" is 100% agenda driven, but it's still largely a good story with excellent writing and production value. So yes it can be done. But it's simultaneously a good, well-written story, with excellent production and acting, etc. But I have yet to see that in the Star Wars world where the story is sacrificed on the altar of agenda. At least for the newest stuff and most of the stuff on Disney+. And in fact in articles and interviews those in control at Disney have stated as much. That they were never fans of the original series and are using this as a chance to retcon star wars and turn it into a vehicle for their agenda. And as a result it generates terrible stories.I see what you are saying, but I don't get as concerned about agenda pushing. I think you can have well made movies that push an agenda and poorly made movies that don't.
