The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

  1. No Immunity for Crimes a Former President Committed in Office: President Biden shares the Founders’ belief that the President’s power is limited—not absolute—and must ultimately reside with the people. He is calling for a constitutional amendment that makes clear no President is above the law or immune from prosecution for crimes committed while in office. This No One Is Above the Law Amendment will state that the Constitution does not confer any immunity from federal criminal indictment, trial, conviction, or sentencing by virtue of previously serving as President.
  1. Term Limits for Supreme Court Justices: Congress approved term limits for the Presidency over 75 years ago, and President Biden believes they should do the same for the Supreme Court. The United States is the only major constitutional democracy that gives lifetime seats to its high court Justices. Term limits would help ensure that the Court’s membership changes with some regularity; make timing for Court nominations more predictable and less arbitrary; and reduce the chance that any single Presidency imposes undue influence for generations to come. President Biden supports a system in which the President would appoint a Justice every two years to spend eighteen years in active service on the Supreme Court.
  1. Binding Code of Conduct for the Supreme Court:President Biden believes that Congress should pass binding, enforceable conduct and ethics rules that require Justices to disclose gifts, refrain from public political activity, and recuse themselves from cases in which they or their spouses have financial or other conflicts of interest. Supreme Court Justices should not be exempt from the enforceable code of conduct that applies to every other federal judge.

Appealing to more people is irrelevant. Only about half of voters actually vote on their own. That means half of all potential votes are just sitting there. The changes for convenience, as you describe them, enable campaign staff to go house to house and offer the service of getting a vote to a counting center for a voter. It is like Uber Votes, with the tab being paid by the campaigns, but the vote couriers only visit addresses listed as being registered with their party. The sheer number of lazy apathetic voters means the vote couriers can overcome organic popularity of an issue or candidate. The population density of those registered democrat means the couriers contracted by the democrats have an advantage over courier contracted by the republicans. The end result is that no GOP candidate can win a national election regardless of how popular their platform or how popular they are personally. A braindead Joe Biden would beat Dwayne The Rock Johnson under the current system even if The Rock were opinion polling with a 10% lead.

Fwiw I have never seen or heard of a single first hand account of a campaign staff person going to anyone's residence to harvest a ballot

Most likely this is a Boogeyman that the fake news media has told you in an effort to trigger you based off your algorithms

It's quite telling that Biden, who is the current president, doesn't want immunity from being tried for any crimes he commits while in office.
Trump, for some reason, really desires immunity from crimes committed while president.

The most obvious example was Wisconsin. The vertical line at 5PM was the ballot harvesting operation dropping off their day's work. Many at the time said it was evidence of fraud, but they were wrong. This is 100% legal and every one of those was a real vote. This system is still in place today. Undoubtedly they're going to be smarter and not drop it off in one go like they did in 2020 but the effect to the election's outcome will be the same.

Yep. I have never seen or heard from a human of this actually happening.

I don't know what to tell you because even before the harvesting rules were put into place, they used to do this except that it was a lot harder. They'd rent vans that would transport voters to the polls. All of this is what is referred to as "ground game". If you use that term in your search, you will find a wealth of responses from outlets across the spectrum. As for your personal experience and of those around you, of course you won't see it. You live in Utah. This sort of thing costs a lot of money. No one is going to spend on such an operation in Utah. CNN might as well call Utah for Trump right now. I also won't see it in California. Things would be very different if you lived in Detroit, MI or Madison, WI.

I look forward to Joe Biden getting on a stage to make an impassioned speech in support of his proposed constitutional amendment.

Oh no. Voters got to the polls to vote? How horrible

I'm all for campaigns getting people to the polls. I'm all for campaigns getting more people registered to vote. I have no problem at all with the NAACP contracting to pay Lyft millions to provide free and discounted transportation to the polls. All of that is fair game because at the end it is someone going to the polls to make their voice heard in front of officials who can verify all rules are being complied with.

Where I personally draw the line is in the creation of a system in which it becomes impossible for one side to ever win because sooner or later some numbskull is going to see the futility of the current system and decide the only way for their voice to be heard is to pick up a gun or make a bomb. Trump making claims of the system being rigged was really, really bad because it brings that day sooner. I always hope for cooler heads to prevail but I fear that people are stupid and someone somewhere will do stupid things.

Then you are in luck. Lots of Republican candidates won in 2020 and trump got lots of electoral votes.

Republicans path to winning the presidency is quite simple. Drop trump.
