Jazz Sign Patty Mills

A couple days ago I was driving and saw someone driving a vehicle that looked just like Patty Mills. I seriously thought it was him initially for a second before I realized there's no reason he would be here. Can't remember where it was, either, so it was probably Utah county and it didn't look like a rental. Very unlikely it was him but it was funny.

Would be absolutely floored if Sexton comes off the bench. If that's the plan you have to trade him asap
I agree with you. And, I think it’d be dirty to do it to him. But if the plan is to tank, outside of trading him at a discount it would be the easiest way to achieve a lower record.

I have always liked mills but I worry he has something left in the tank that could kill the tank

Idk, maybe I'm a homer, but I still see a fairly decent roster unless you remove Sexton or Collins.

You're correct. Hardy has half a dozen veterans aged 27+ to help him, so if they want that high pick... With the fact of knowing how Jazz is a strong home team, and bottom five teams in east are quite meh, I'd bet over on that Vegas o/u 28,5 I saw few weeks ago. I predict 31-33 win season, accounting the trade deadline tank moves on it. It can be higher if some of the 1-2 year players gonna be advancing more we expect.

But if Hardy let's them rookies play through mistakes, at least Jazz should secure the pick not going for Thunder

I’m gonna choose us getting Cooper Flagg or the top 5 pick over hurting Sextin’s feelings given that he’s already paid over 16 million a year.

But that’s just me.

Feels a bit weird adding that another guard to a roster that already has that many and seemed to be looking to shed one or two of them. Either way, we're here for the tanking and he's still a good veteran who not only might contribute with his leadership, but one who also knows a thing or two about shooting.

I would assume that Mills gets playing time at the expense of Collier, at least at the first of the season.

I'm not someone who thinks the best way to develop a really young player is to throw them to the wolves. I think it might be a good idea to give Collier some time in the G-League and slowly give him rotation time as he is ready for it. However, I do think having rookie Collier leading the second unit had high potential for helping with losses and I would assume that Mills will reduce that by at least a little bit.

I do think having a mentor for point guards is a big deal and Mills could really help in that way.

So I kind of don't like it. But, I kind of do like it. But mostly I'm not sure it will matter that much.

Collier right now is our backup point guard. There is a good chance he's not ready for that yet.

Solid vet who getting that Udonis Haslem checks now.

Maybe this is a sign that Sextons on the way out.

Honestly, as long we be starting Collins - which I believe won't change this season because of his still sizeable contract (next we should trade, dump, or just waive him), what happened to him when he no longer was treated as a centerpiece in Atlanta, and what benching him (even more for kids or minimum salary level players) would mean to the FO decision of trading for him - either through him playing as PF or C (tho I believe he'll play more as a C, and I that being the case because his whole NBA career he's been better as a C, not a PF), we'll have a decently high scoring collective attack that doesn't match the consistency and star power of most franchises, thus still losing a ton, even more being at the western conference (only the Blazers should be as bad or worse in the same conference).

If we need to go hard on the tanking just tell Lauri to go spend time with his kids and call It a day,
