When Was The Last Time a Conservative Came on Here to Offer Anything?

I don't have a twitter account so those links don't work for me the way they work for people who have an account. I never click on twitter links so what I can see in the post is all of it I'm going to see.
Thanks for clarifying that. I was not aware. A lot of times the videos seen in a tweet can be clicked on here, in the forum comment, without having to go to X.

Thank you for responding, seriously I mean it. I wish you would get involved in more discussions. To be fair I think we see what you are pointing out more frequently from a certain hyper-liberal poster and some of the more trollerish posters. Yeah sometimes the discussion gets heated. And yeah, absent other information, assumptions are made. We're humans and that's what humans do, not to be patronizing, but it's just the nature of the beast. And I think recently especially politics has been generally more polarizing than in the past and that bleeds into the forum. I for one would welcome your voice in these discussions and I appreciate you clarifying your viewpoint even just as briefly as you did here. Please join in, it will only elevate the discussion and help improve the forum.

But whatever you decide to do, I can't think of a single person here who has anything but respect for you or legitimately toward any other poster, except maybe the trolls, who get very very tiresome.
With all of the best intentions to try again to participate again in a reasonable manner, I went to a thread that had been updated and read through it to catch up on the conversation. I got to the part where thriller, red, and sardines (through words or likes) lumped all conservatives together as Russia lovers, said they like Russia because they haven’t called them racists yet and that the only thing conservatives hate more than minorities is being called racist.

Nope. Not ready.

Maybe later. I can’t really moderate if I start blocking people.

I couldn’t see through that to find a reasonable conversation point.

Maybe next week. lol I will try again though.

I said the only thing racists hate more than minorities is being called racist.

I didn't call all conservatives racist.

It started with Thriller talking about all conservatives and Russia, moving on to you saying something like “because Russia never called them racist”. Later on in another post you said that bit about racists not liking being called racists but it clearly followed the whole train starting with all conservatives.

Either you don’t know what you are saying, or you don’t want to own up to it. Maybe you didn’t intend to call every conservative a racist but that’s sure how it reads.

Maybe don’t get so caught up in winning an argument or getting a dig in, or own the fact you think all conservatives are racists. Or clearly state when you are changing topics or the subject of the conversation, because you didn’t.

I don’t feel like arguing, but didn’t want to let it go because it’s a conversation stopper for me.

Have a good night. :)

I’ll just assume it read different than intended.

Being a conservative is one thing supporting Trump who is not a conservative is another. There is no political reality where a vote for Trump is not an implicit or explicit vote for white America. It is a vote for institutionalised racism. I can wear a cape and call myself superman but it wont give me super powers. People can call themselves conservative talk about small government and family values but by voting for Trump they are voting for a racist and supporting racism. There is no cape or fig leaf to remove that stain.

I have been a conservative.

First, racism isn't really a 1 or 0, yes or no. Everyone harbors some amount of racist thought. To call a person a racist it generally takes significant outward expression of hostile racist ideology.

A lot of people in the Trump camp in particular contend that racism has become completely irrelevant in our society and it's the libs that continue to force a racial narrative into the political spectrum. This is false. Current, active racism, including some systemic racism, has a continuing negative impact on a significant number of people in our society. The "momentum" of outright racist policies and practices from the past few centuries has placed black Americans in general at a deficit that each individual has to overcome.

Trump made the life of black people and their struggle to overcome racism more difficult, largely by design. All while gaslighting his supporters into thinking he has done more for the blacks than anyone since Lincoln.

I don't think all "conservatives" are racist, so that is not what my statement meant or I would fundamentally disagree with my own statement.

Thanks for the clarification. Much appreciated!
