The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

Has to be good news for Harris that Trump is actually hoping Laura Loomer can help him. Probably influenced some of his debate nonsense, since she rode with him to the debate.

Remarkably, despite Loomer being a leading proponent of “9-11 was an inside job”, Loomer was Trump’s guest at the 9-11 memorial this week!

Very illuminating article.
Many of trumps closest advisors seem to be afraid to speak out about trump spending so much close time with such a bad person because they are afraid to be fired.

As usual, whoever is kissing trumps butt the best is the one he is listening to currently. Right now that seems to be Loomer which is bad for everyone.

Thus far, they've had to shut down City Hall and schools all over Springfield because of a meme.
An untrue meme pushed by neo Nazi racists and Facebook that trump fell for.

In an article talking about how memes are spreading lots of lies and misinformation about this election campaign cycle you have this from a trump campaign staffer: “We love our meme-makers,” Alex Bruesewitz, a Trump campaign adviser, said in a statement. “Meme-makers are truth-tellers, unlike the liberal mainstream media, and the left can’t meme.”

That is like admitting that you are lying often and then saying that we love lying and the left and mainstream media aren't as good at lying. Meme makers are truth teller lol. Memes are like anything else, they cant be truthful or complete lies. So dumb to simply say that if its a meme then it is true by default.

JD Vance quote from yesterday with only the name of the person he spoke of omitted: "I don't think most Americans are going to be influenced by a billionaire celebrity who I think is fundamentally disconnected from their interests and the problems of most Americans,"

He was speaking of Swift but it sounds a lot like he was describing his running mate.

Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman actor, denounced her sister’s campaign for a competitive seat in the Arizona House.

The actor’s statement was included as part of an exposé on her sister, Pamela Carter, the far-right Republican running to represent part of Maricopa County in the Arizona House of Representatives.

“On her website, Pam claims to have her ‘family’s full support,’” Lynda Carter told Mother Jones. “I have known Pam my entire life, which is why I sadly cannot endorse her for this or any public office.”

I'm not saying Gal Gadot isn't a smoke show, but Lynda Carter was on another level.

Thats a tough choice. Gal Gadot is literally one of my favorites of all time. (plus she seems to have a terrific personality from what I have seen of her in interviews and stuff)
But ya, Lynda Carter was fantastic.

Suggestion: Donald Trump is the leading example of the epidemic of Dunning-Kruger Effect in early 21st century America. He is the leader of the rampaging ignorance that defines this epidemic, much of it born of the internet’s influence in leading people into conspiracism and creating alternate realities that make the real world the enemy.

Obviously, Laura Loomer is a prominent example of what appears to be an epidemic of the Dunning-Kruger Effect. I have usually interpreted many of Trump’s crazy comments as his effort to use crazy ideas to his advantage. I’m more willing to see now that I could just interpret many of his responses to the fact that, like millions of others, the internet and social media has influence a mind not used to using critical thinking skills. He said once how he loves “the uneducated”, and he himself fits in the category of individuals not equipped to apply critical thinking to conspiracies that appeal to them, that provide confirmation bias of their irrational beliefs.

So, in the midst of an epidemic of Dunning-Kruger, we see one of our two major parties has itself succumb to the epidemic of ignorance that is Dunning-Kruger, and are attempting to install a mind so afflicted into the Oval Office. I wonder if future historians will describe things this way: how a rampaging infection of Dunning-Kruger swept through the American public and popular culture, spurred by the influence of the internet and social media, rendering governance very difficult, as society broke up into competing and conflicting realities. Until a consensus reality was a thing of the past. Hard to govern when two parties inhabit different realities.

These people are bored. Too much peace and prosperity. It’s why we’re seeing so many people with F-450 trucks and boats, instead of enjoying their lives, are miserable and finding meaning with Trump truck parades, swearing at doctors and teachers, and burning books. They have money, which is the primary measure of success in this country, and instead of using their money and leisure time to become more cultured and educated, they delve deep into nonsensical conspiracies.

But supposing the world has become “filled up”, so to speak, with liberal democracies, such as there exist no tyranny and oppression worthy of the name against which to struggle? Experience suggests that if men cannot struggle on behalf of a just cause because that just cause was victorious in an earlier generation, then they will struggle against the just cause. They will struggle for the sake of struggle. They will struggle, in other words, out of a certain boredom: for they cannot imagine living in a world without struggle. And if the greater part of the world in which they live is characterized by peaceful and prosperous liberal democracy, then they will struggle against that peace and prosperity, and against democracy.

They’re purposely trying to incite a pogrom In Ohio. JD Vance is still tweeting about Haitians eating pets. He’s trying to get (black) people killed in his own state. This is evil. This is what fascism is all about. Trump and Vance have created an out group. And is now encouraging his klan to carry out his bidding. What Trump clearly wants is some cruelty done to those poor Haitians living in Springfield. He’s angry at the debate and now he’s identified a group of people that he’s going to scapegoat. His tribe justifies this cruelty and violence by claiming that the Haitians are savages (they eat pets), carry disease, and cost the public too much. They’re justifying a pogrom by claiming to merely be concerned with immigration.

They’re not.

Apparently this was found in Springfield. Donald’s very fine people!

If you still support this vile man and his political party, you are a disgusting human being.

This is a great read (before reading, Google the “blood and soil” chant trumpers chant. It has a dark history:
In waging rhetorical war on the Haitian immigrants of Springfield, Ohio, Vance has clarified the meaning of his convention speech. It does not matter, to Vance, that these Haitian newcomers came here legally, under the Temporary Protected Status program. It does not matter that they filled a valuable need. It does not matter that they reversed a slow collapse that has already sapped the life from so many former industrial towns. It does not matter that they work hard and seem eager, by all accounts, to establish themselves as productive members of the community.

What matters to Vance is who they are, where they come from and what they look like. They don’t belong to this soil, he might say, and therefore they don’t belong. Right now, the most Vance can do to wage this war is use his words. I shudder to think what might be possible if he had the authority of the state to wield as
well.

I have to say, I do believe I’m on to something suggesting they we are witnessing an epidemic of the Dunning-Kruger Effect. It’s not difficult for someone to believe they know more than they actually know. Add that simple fact, and we can all exhibit Dunning-Kruger at times, with a lack of critical thinking skills, the democratic nature of the internet, encouraging absorbing anything in the world, again, without critical thinking applied. Trump can be seen as the leading example of the rampaging ignorance born of this “epidemic”. Look at all the nutty claims, like Pizzagate, that originated online. Combine this with “Post Truth”, where lies=facts, “alternate facts” that support Dunning-Kruger generated beliefs.

I know you ascribe much of these visible troubles to boredom, but I just started musing on the effects of Dunning-Kruger. I see so much of it in Facebook groups I participate in. People leaving groups to form other groups that support their mistaken beliefs. Reinventing entire scientific disciplines to support their mistaken theories. Etc., etc. Rather than accept that they are mistaken, I see many people, by the thousands mind you, leaving science based groups, creating pseudoscience groups based off the mistaken beliefs they refuse to abandon, all because the Dunning-Kruger Effect does not allow them to realize how wrong they are.

This extends to the Big Lie, an alternate fact that Trump was so successful in turning into an alternate reality for millions of people who prefer what they want to be true, not what the use of the discriminating faculty of their own minds would show them is true.

For what it’s worth, just a thought, we’re in an epidemic of Dunning-Kruger generated misinformation that does seem to have the effect of driving rational based knowledge, rational based science, to the sidelines of society. People often refer to “college professors in ivory towers”. Well, yeah, if this onslaught of fake beliefs continues, those towers will be refuges for knowledge, surrounded by a new Dark Ages. The professors will need to remain in their towers. Evetybody outside will be carrying pitchforks, yelling “they ate my pet!!”.
