I think this country is in serious need of redefining what it means to be pro life vs anti choice. I am pro life. To me that means:
- Raising taxes on the rich and corporations so that we have an adequate social safety net so children don’t go hungry and families are supported.
- I believe immigrants should be treated with dignity and respect and given due process.
- I believe public schools should be well funded and that charters and ridiculous religion schools shouldn’t siphon tax funds away from public schools.
- I believe in moderate gun regulation and an assault weapons ban so that people aren’t killed needlessly. Idiots who supply mass shooters with weapons should be prosecuted.
- I believe that we should join the rest of the industrialized world with a single payer health care system so everyone receives health care.
- I believe in strong environmental regulation to preserve our quality of life.
- I believe in vaccine mandates, because vaccines are good and keeping us as disease free as possible serves society. Turn off your dumb Joe Rogan podcasts and read a non-fiction history book for a change.
- I don’t believe women and girls should have their health care determined by creepy rapists like Trump. Nor should they carry their rapists’ babies to term.
Being pro life should mean more than merely being against abortion.
