Kamala Harris for Pres

I know not everyone might agree with Harris’s policy on health care for gay Hispanic women who watch NFL. But threatening to use the military to round up, torture, and kill your political opponents seems worse.

This needs to be front page headlines throughout the country. Military leaders need to band together, ex-Presidents need to call a press conference together. Time to stop the madman.

She ****ed up in a big way not doing any rallies and not putting out soundbites regarding policies. She's just trying to coast on "well, I'm not Trump" and that won't cut it. I'm afraid she'll end up being a terrible choice when they could have done so much better. Buttigieg would have been a far better choice. He's more visible than Harris is, seems to have a better handle on things and not afraid to get in the tough moments. Right now Harris and her team are her own worst enemy.

Kamala Harris is an awful candidate. As previously noted, in the 2020 election she never got higher than 4th place among California voters who already knew who she was. She has a fawning media and has outspent Trump by 2.5-to-1, but is basically tied. If the registered democrats of this country had been allowed a voice in a quick primary to re-choose who the nominee should have been, it almost certainly would not have been Kamala on the ticket now.

The thing I find funnier than the irony of the Save Democracy crowd being stuck with Kamala as their candidate due to being denied democracy, is that they picked doofus Tim Walz to be on the ticket so dim bulb Kamala wouldn't be out shined.

Even Saturday Night Live is taking shots at her for spending so much with only a tied race to show for it.

We all know we’ve been warned….

Donald Trump is ramping up his rhetoric depicting his political rivals and critics as criminals, while dropping a long trail of suggestions that he favors outlawing political speech that he deems misleading or challenges his claims to power.

It’s a pattern of messaging that has long been part of Trump’s stump speeches but has escalated significantly in his 2024 candidacy. In the final stretch to the Nov. 5 election, the former president has developed a tendency to claim that speech he disapproves of is illegal, even if it is protected by the First Amendment.

A questionable cut of a “60 Minutes” Harris interview? “Totally illegal,” Trump wrote on X, saying it makes Harris look better and that CBS should have its broadcast license revoked.

An expert who studies authoritarianism and fascism said Trump’s rhetoric about criminalizing dissent is familiar, and could carry serious implications for the country if he’s elected president.

“This is out of the autocratic playbook. As autocrats consolidate their power once they’re in office, anything that threatens their power, or exposes their corruption, or releases information that’s harmful to them in any way becomes illegal,” said Ruth Ben-Ghiat, a historian and professor at New York University who wrote the 2020 book “Strongmen: From Mussolini to the Present.”

“He’s actually rehearsing, in a sense, what he would be doing as head of state, which is what Orban does, Modi is doing, Putin has long done,” she said, referring to the leaders of Hungary, India and Russia, respectively. “Just as there’s a divide now because of this brainwashing about who is a patriot and who is a criminal about Jan. 6, right? In the same way, telling the truth in any area — journalists, scientists, even people like me, anybody who is engaged in objective inquiry, prosecutors, of course — they become criminal elements and they need to be shut down.”

like many have said from the get go, she's an atrocious candidate. She makes Biden look competent. It's a shame they didn't pick a candidate on merit who could articulate their point of view and stand on their well established positions. She's so flawed and compromised she's going to single handedly hand the white house to a complete ******. Not even a billion dollar media PR campaign could cover up her ineptitude.

Early voting has started in Georgia and is smashing turnout records.

As we all know high turnout is VERY bad for Republicans.
Right, because it means the ballot harvesters are doing their stuff. BTW, ballot harvesting is supposed to be illegal in Georgia but it happens and is never prosecuted. The polling advantage Trump has in Georgia doesn't matter. Kamala will win Georgia.

Trump Crumbles When Pressed on Economic Policy in Tense Interview
Trump was in a tense interview. Some environments are going to be hostile, and still Trump goes. Things are not always going to be easy, and still Trump goes.

I get that you don't like him and are supporting the other candidate, but isn't there a little part of you that wishes Kamala had a bit more gravitas, a bit more command, was a bit more of a leader who didn't put on funny accents in an effort to blend in?

Oh I'm not a fan of Kamala but I'll be giddy if she wins the election. BTW, The Rapist is afraid of her otherwise he would have been salivating for a second debate.

Do I wish Kamala was a bigger attention whore and more narcissistic who will go on TV anywhere with anyone at anytime because she loves the attention? Nah
I don't enjoy watching politicians and prefer that they simply do their jobs off camera and go to work.
Things like pay attention to security briefings and whatnot.

Donald Trump’s “fact-free” approach to the presidency created unprecedented challenges for intelligence officials responsible for briefing him, according to a newly released account from the CIA.

The 45th president’s chaotic and freewheeling style, and his disinclination to read anything put in front of him, resulted in the presidential daily briefing, or PDB – a crucial security update including information about potential threats to the US – being delivered more regularly to Vice-President Mike Pence instead, the report states.

By the middle of Trump’s term in office, his briefings were reduced to two weekly sessions of 45 minutes each. Briefings were discontinued altogether after the deadly insurrection of 6 January.

I couldn't care less how often Kamala goes on TV. I welcome seeing less politicians on TV actually. One of the things I hate most about trump is there is no escaping him. He is everywhere all the time. Just like he likes it.

I would be reading a BYU football article and a sidebar would pop up saying "trump says Utah wouldn't even elect mitt Romney to be dogcatcher" (apparently trump thinks the position of dogcatcher is an elected position)
