Should Cody spend time in the G LEAGUE

Should Cody Williams get sent down to the Stars for a stint?

let's not kid ourselves. he's 1-9 FGs his last two. he had a nice 3 game stretch at the end of december where made a few shots, but his rebounds, assists and stocks are still basically non-existent even in this last five game stretch (yes, last night was an exception but over that five game stretch since coming up from the g league, he's continued to do next to nothing in those areas.

Exactly.

When do we get some accountability from Ainge?

He's shown improvement which is all we can ask for. And he's 2/9, not 1/9.

Ainge has a plan. The Jazz probably have a much better W-L record if the likes of THT, Luka S, Bazely, Yurt7. Kris Dunn, Frank Jackson and Kenny are still around. Does that group magically grab a playin spot? Ainge is aiming much higher.

The verdict on Cody will come in by Year 3, I think. He needs to shoot well enough and improve his physical presence enough that he can be a complementary player. Right now, the Jazz are asking him to defend. They've been switching him onto everyone from Trae Young at mid-court to Kel'el Ware at the rim.

Cody had a couple of drives last night that were blocked from behind. One was blocked by Jovic and the other by Herro. I guess he'll learn to keep the ball in front of him.

Calm down, everybody. Cody has great physical tools, plays good defense (that will soon get even better), he is always composed and thinking it through on the court. His offense will inevitable come around.

I would even say that his rookie start is more promising then someone who as a rookie is all offense, no defense and hard to coach. Cody will be a very good player in a couple of years. The disappointment with his current performance comes from high draft expectations after a tanking season but don't forget that Cody would be drafted around 16 in any normal draft, so his development trajectory is quite normal and expected.
